Rick was born on December 8, 1957 in Pearisburg and was a son of the late James A. and Deanna R. Runions McGuire. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather and parent Victor Runions and his daughter, Rachael McGuire. Rick has been a member of the First United Methodist Church in Rich Creek for the past five years.      Raymond Theodore "Ray" Chilen Sr. Raymond T. Chilen Sr., 89, died Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009. He was born July 25, 1920, in Miltonvale to Nels and Edna (Coleman) Chilen. He had worked for Pandandy Bakery, Vidrickson Distributing, Beechcraft, Gruenthal Mail Delivery Services, Stucky's in Ellsworth and Green Thumb. Ray enjoyed many dinners and casino trips with social friends and treasured family gatherings with his grand and great-grandchildren. Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn, in 1990; a daughter-in-law, Kathy; a granddaughter, Candice; four brothers; and a sister. He is survived by his sons, Raymond Chilen Jr., of Morgan, Texas, and Doug Chilen and wife Gloria, of Salina; and a daughter, Karen Moralez and husband Steve, of Salina. He has two sisters, Shirley Jamison, of Salina, and Betty Schandy, of Salem, Ore; and a brother, Dale Chilen, of Fort Dodge. There are five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 9, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Her husband, Philbert Elmo, died in 1984, and an infant son, Richard E., also preceded her in death. Survivors include a daughter, Linda McCully of Erie; two sisters, Frances A. Burch of Salina and Phyllis J. Smith of Beaverton, Ore; and two grandchildren. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina. on February 10, 1994.²
