Mr. Harrold was born October 25, 1928, in Patrick County, VA, to the late Odis Odell Harrold, Sr. and Carie Burcham Harrold. He served our country in the United States Navy and was the owner and operator of Harold’s Lawn and Garden. He is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Odis Odell Harrold, III and Larry and Susan D. Harrold, all of Mount Airy; two daughters and a son-in-law, Linda and Ernest Leftwich of Hampton, VA, and Thelma Cassell of Newport News, VA; four grandchildren, Kevin Patrick Harrold of Mount Airy, Timothy Leftwich and Mitchell Cassell, both of Hampton, VA, and Donna Lynn Rivers of Newport News, VA; three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert H. Pluckett of Winston-Salem and Jack R. Pluckett of Mesa, AZ; and three cousins and spouses, Maria and Arthur Jessup, Bobby and Sylvia Harold, and Laura Harold, all of Mount Airy. In addition to his parents, Mr. Harrold was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Mae Thompson Harrold; and a sister, Minnie Marie Doruty. The funeral service will be held Monday, March 26, 2007, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Bob McCaskill, and entombment will follow in the Skyline Memory Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.
