Interment will follow in the Antioch Church of the Brethren Cemetery. Friends may call at Lynch Funeral Home, Rocky Mount, after 12:00 noon Sunday where the family will be from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on June 23, 1991.2

His surviving family includes his nephew, Gary Martin and wife, Rose; nieces, Vickie Montoro, Leane Black and husband, Michael, Florence Scott and husband, Robert, and Celia Hammond; four great-nieces, Katherine Ferguson, Krystle Black, Lisa Hammond, and Jessica Scott; great-nephew, Matthew Scott; and very close friend, Jane Sluss. A period of visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, from 1 to 2 p.m. in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem. Interment will immediately follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Roanoke. on February 11, 2014.3
