He was born February 26, 1927, in Pluto, WV, and was the son of the late Thomas and Lillie Meador. He was predeceased by five brothers and three sisters, Haskell, Merville, Arnett, Conrad, Ralph, Thelma, Charlotte and Phyllis. Mr. Meador worked for American Electric Power Company for forty-three years. He served his country honorably during WW II and the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Navy. He attended Beckley College and Morris Harvey College in West Virginia. Rhonald was an avid gardener and fly fisherman. Survivors include his wife of forty-nine years, Edna Peters Meador; son, Rhonald R. "Butch" Meador II of Burgaw, NC; daughter, Penny Meador Smith and husband, Ricky of Swansboro, NC; grandchildren, Sam Mitchell and Renee Mitchell Cartwright and husband, Daniel all of Burgaw, NC; several nephews and nieces and special friends, Mike and Robin Mitchell of Burgaw, NC. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Rose & Quesenberry Funeral Home, Shady Spring Chapel, with the Rev. Troy W. Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in Meador Cemetery, Pluto, VW. Pallbearers will be James Meador II, Gary Meador, Matthew Meador, Daniel Lilly, Danny Burgess and Paul Pack. on June 10, 2004.4

She is survived by her husband of 51 years: Paul D. Pack; her son: Gregory D. Pack and his wife Eileen; 2 brothers: Samuel Peters of West Virginia and Delmas Peters of Stanton; 5 sisters: her special sister Fran Roberts of Newark, Pattie Sue Cass and Janie Moorefield, both of West Virginia, Edna Meador of North Carolina and Elizabeth Burgess of Virginia; 4 grandchildren: Craig and Dawn Pack, Jeanine Pack and Audrey Pack, and the family beloved pet Jax. Hall, 72, of Daniels, died 12:57 p.m., Sunday, June 13, 1999, in a Beckley hospital following a long illness. Born Feb. 17, 1927, in Crow, she was the daughter of the late Charley Bennett and Cassie Adkins Bennett. Mrs. Hall was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Daniels. She was secretary of the Shady Spring Busy Bees Senior Citizens Club. She was preceded in death by a son, Darrell Hall; and three brothers, Archie,Charles "Polly" and James Robert Bennett. Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Ernest N. Hall; a son, Ernest Ray Hall and his wife, Belinda, of Daniels; a daughter, Connie Link and her husband, Steve, of Crow; a daughter-in-law, Eva Hall of Biloxi, Miss; two brothers, Earl Bennett and his wife, Annabelle, of Talcott and Melvin Bennett; a sister-in-law, Edith Bennett of Cleveland, Ohio; a granddaughter, Deana Mapes and her husband, Doug, of Gulfport, Miss; five grandsons, Jonathan Hall and his wife, Tonalee, of Gulfport, Miss., Brandon and Andrew Link of Crow, Jeremy, Janson and Josh Hall, of Daniels; a step-granddaughter, Jennifer Pierce of Biloxi, Miss; a great-granddaughter; three great-grandsons; one step-great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
