Mr. Hopkins was a lifelong member of Croydon Fire Company No. 1, which he had served as chief, and was a former fire marshal for Bristol Township. He was a member of the Bucks County Fire Chiefs Association and had helped found the Bucks County Fire School. His wife of more than 30 years, Ruth M. Hopkins, died in 1982. He is survived by daughters Joyce Mild, Betty Wojnar, Gail Nevel, Susan Bellerby, Lisa Gibson, Nancy and Sandy; sons Raymond B. Jr., Kenny and Horace; two sisters; 20 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Burial will follow in Bristol Cemetery, Bristol Pike (Route 13) and Route 413, Croydon. on April 9, 1996.⁸
