Joseph Howard Kelley, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Lawrence Kelley, Corbett road, this place, was killed in action in Vietnam on July 1. The 22-year-old soldier lost his life near Due Fho while he was serving in Company A, Americo Cavalry division, according to word received by his parents. A 1965 graduate of Hereford High school, Sgt. Kelley entered the service Dec. 1, 1967 at Fort Bragg, N.C., and was sent to the war zone in November, 1968. Before entering the service he was employed by the Social Security administration at its main office in Baltimore. A 1967 graduate of Baltimore institute where he studied accounting, he was a member of Immanuel Episcopal church, Glencoe, Md. In addition to his parents he is survived by a brother and two sisters, Patrick Lee Kelley, Freeland, Md; Mrs. Carol Sue McDade, White Hall, Md., and Mrs. Betty Gail Cummings, Sparks, Md. Rev. Paul Zellerj Sgt. Kelley's pastor, will conduct funeral services tomorrow at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Episcopal church, Glencoe. Interment will be in the cemetery adjoining that church. on July 11, 1969.³
