Wanda Marie Henley died on August 29, 2017 at Virginia at age 62.2 She On Tuesday, August 29, 2017, the Rev. Wanda Marie Henley Howell, 62, of Montvale, Va., sat on her back porch with her mother singing, "In The Garden," just like she did so many times as a child, but this time it was at her Heavenly home. She fought long and hard for many years with cardiac disease and other health ailments. Through it all she had a faith, love, and trust in God that was unwavering. God saw that she was growing weary from fighting for so long and said "Well done my good and faithful servant! You were faithful over a few things, I will put you in charge of many things. Enter into the joy of your Master." Matthew 25:23. Wanda was born on January 22, 1955, in Abingdon, Va. She is reunited in Heaven with her loving parents, Walter and Katie Henley; brother, Jerry Henley; grandson, Jackson Aliff; and her parents-in-law, Robert and Mary Howell. Left here to treasure her memory is her husband of 41 years, the Rev. Curtis Howell; her children, Shannon Puckett and husband, Bruce, and grandson, Nathaniel; Tammy Hayes and husband, Dennis, and granddaughter, Taylor, and grandson, William; Jeremiah Howell and wife, Katie; Cheyenne Aliff and husband, Jake, and grandson Logan; Cherokee Dooley and Tony Dooley; granddaughters, Montana and Tennessee; and grandson, Dakota; her brothers, Mike Henley and wife, Connie Sue, Larry Henley and wife, Judy, Danny Henley and wife, Bonnie, Ricky Henley and wife, Mary Jane; sisters-in-law, Sue Henley, Rosemary Donaldson and Paul, Dorothy Whorley and husband, Ronnie; brother-in-law, Robert Howell and wife, Linda; and many nieces and nephews whom she also loved dearly. Her last wish for all of her loved ones is to make sure your soul is ready when God calls you Home so you can be with her on the other side. Wanda's Homecoming Celebration will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2017, at Valley Church, 8100 Angel Lane, Roanoke, Va. Her husband, the Rev. Curtis Howell, will preach the funeral alongside her for one last time. Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. with the funeral immediately following at 2 p.m. Her Pastor, Jason Cook, will officiate the graveside service at Old Dominion Memorial Gardens where she will be laid to rest with Jesus. Funeral arrangements are being made by Oakey's East Chapel. on August 31, 2017.2
