     Charles Cyrus Kapp Charles Kapp of Clarion passed away peacefully at his home on April 3, 2017. He was 90 years of age. Born on April 20, 1926 he was the son of the late Charles Arthur and Flora (Shorts) Kapp of Kossuth. He was married for 65 years to the former Virginia Zerbe, who survives. Charles was a dragline operator for 45 years and retired from C & K Coal in 1996. He enjoyed gardening, refinishing furniture, and playing with his great-grandchildren. He took great pride in the fact that he taught all of his grandchildren to drive and ride their first bicycles. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Clarion and served on church council for St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Kossuth for many years. Charles is survived by his wife; his sister, Joyce Lehman of Cranberry; his three sons, David and his wife, Debbie, of Gibsonia, PA, Steve and his wife Carol, of Goose Creek, SC, and Philip and his wife, Brenda, of Clarion. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren, Lanny Kapp and his wife, Michelle, of Old Saybrook, CT, Nathan Kapp and his wife Amanda, of Monroeville, PA, Brianne Roth and her husband Joel, of Canton, GA, Charles Kapp and his wife Meghan, of Myrtle Beach, SC, Brittany Kapp and her fiancé, Travis McBride, of Forest Hills, PA, Erin Kapp, of Middleton, WI, Dana Kapp, of Allison Park, PA, and Jessica Kapp, of Columbia, SC. Also surviving are the "apples of his eyes," his great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Joshua, Lauren, Makela, Luciana, Jace, and Paige.      Charlotte Mae Zerbe Charlotte Mae Bradish, one of eight children born to the union of Homer W. and Amanda Josepha (Pfendler) Zerbe, was born July 28, 1938 on a farm in Lucinda, Pennsylvania. As a young girl, Charlotte and her family moved from Lucinda to Knox, Pennsylvania where she grew up and graduated from high school. On December 20, 1958, Charlotte married the love of her life, William D. Bradish. They shared over 51 years of marriage together and many wonderful memories. They were blessed with two children: Susan and William. Due to the fact that William was in the military, Charlotte and the family became very adept at packing up and moving to new and exciting places. They lived in Colorado, Texas, Kansas, Maryland, Kentucky and also spent time in Germany. Charlotte preferred a simple life. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, working in her garden and caring for the lawn. She liked playing cards, especially Yukor and Canasta and loved the Carol Burnett Show. The thing she enjoyed the most was reading. She loved losing herself in other worlds while reading her books. Most importantly, she cherished those times spent with her family and friends. Charlotte passed away the afternoon of Wednesday, April 14, 2010 in her home after putting up a long and courageous fight against lung cancer. She had attained the age of 71 years, 8 months and 17 days. She will be sadly missed, by all those that knew and loved her. Charlotte leaves to cherish her memory her husband, William Dudley Bradish, Jr; two children: Susan K. Bradish and her husband James Ivan Magee of Nicholasville, KY and William D Bradish and his wife Carla of Waynesville, MO; two sisters: Virginia Kapp and her husband Charles of Clarion, PA and Bernice Knight of Charlotte, NC; two brothers: William Zerbe and his wife Nancy and Dennis Zerbe and his wife Kay, all of Knox, PA; two sisters-in-law: June Zerbe of St. Petersburg, PA and Carol Zerbe of Cranberry, PA; several other relatives and friends. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers: Howard and Robert Zerbe and Donald Zerbe and his wife Lois and son Ricky.3 She was buried at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, RR#3 6980 Danville Road, Nicholasville, Jessamine Co., Kentucky.7,8 Her Social Security Number was 209-30-2994.9 She was born on July 28, 1938 at Lucinda, Clarion Co., Pennsylvania.3,9,8 As of December 20, 1958,her married name was Bradish.3 She married William Dudley Bradish Jr. on December 20, 1958.1,3,4,5 Charlotte Mae Zerbe died on April 14, 2010 at Waynesville, Pulaski Co., Missouri, at age 71.3,9,8

     William Dudley Bradish Jr. was buried at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, RR#3 6980 Danville Road, Nicholasville, Jessamine Co., Kentucky.4,5,6 He was born on October 13, 1936 at Butler, Butler Co., Pennsylvania.4,6 He married Charlotte Mae Zerbe, daughter of Homer Wilson Zerbe and Amanda Josephia Pfendler, on December 20, 1958.1,2,4,7 William Dudley Bradish Jr. died on November 2, 2016 at Wilmore, Jessamine Co., Kentucky, at age 80.4,6 He William Dudley Bradish, Jr. of Wilmore, Kentucky died peacefully in his sleep Nov. 2nd, 2016. He was 80 years of age. “Bill” was born Oct. 13th, 1936 in Butler, Pennsylvania to Minerva (Rennard) and William Bradish. He grew up in the area around Oil City and loved fishing the Allegheny River. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Dec. 8th, 1955, and proudly served for 27 years, including two tours each in Korea and Vietnam. He was a gunsmith for 18 years, and was an avid hunter and fisherman all his life. He retired from the military in 1985 as a MSG (E8) and settled near Waynesville, Missouri where he lived with his wife, Charlotte Mae (Zerbe) Bradish, of 52 years, until her death in 2010. He then moved to Nicholasville, Kentucky, to live with his daughter, Susan and her husband, Jim Magee, for five years, where he joined Troy Presbyterian Church in Versailles, Kentucky. He made his final move to Thomson Hood Veteran’s Center in Wilmore, Kentucky, in Aug. 2015. He is survived by his son, William Bradish and wife Carla of Waynesville, Missouri, and by his daughter and son-in-law, Susan Bradish and Jim Magee of Nicholasville, Kentucky. His final resting place will be Camp Nelson National Cemetery where he will be interred with his wife in a service with full military honors. Details will be announced at a later date. on November 9, 2016.4

     William Homer Zerbe William Homer Zerbe, 83, of Knox, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, December 18, 2019, following an extended illness. Born March 18, 1936, in Lucinda, Bill was the son of the late Homer and Amanda Zerbe. Bill attended Huefner School. He served in the Army, worked for Knox Glass Containers for 25 years then owned and operated WMH Zerbe Drilling for 25 years. On April 11, 1958, Bill married Nancy Miller who he celebrated over 60 years of marriage with. Bill was a member of the NRA. He enjoyed boating, hunting, fishing, watching the Steelers and Pirates and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Along with his wife Bill is survived by his children Greg Zerbe of Knox, Pamela Zerbe-Orvis of Knox and Brenda (Cyrus) Clark of Shippenville; his grandchildren Amanda (Kyle) Anger of Shippenville, Chris (Kate Freeman) Orvis of Greensburg, Caitlin Orvis of Knox, Pastor Brenton (Brianna) Clark of Chambersburg, Cierra (Dan Herring) Orvis of Warren OH; his great grandchildren Leon, Cyrus and Debbie Clark, Robbie, Eli, Harold and Aurelia Anger, Alanna Freeman and Vivian Orvis. Also surviving are two sisters Virginia Kapp of Clarion and Bernice Knight of Charlotte, NC, and three sisters in law June Zerbe of St. Petersburg, Carole Zerbe of Cranberry and Kay Zerbe of Knox. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers Donald Zerbe, Howard Zerbe, Robert Zerbe and Dennis Zerbe and a sister Charlotte Zerbe Bradish. Per Bill’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral. A private memorial service will be held by the family.4 He was born on March 18, 1936 at Lucinda, Clarion Co., Pennsylvania.4 He married Nancy Miller on April 11, 1958.4 William Homer Zerbe died on December 18, 2019 at Knox Township, Clarion Co., Pennsylvania, at age 83.4

Born July 27, 1943 in Lucinda, he was a son of the late Homer and Amanda Pfendler Zerbe. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving from January of 1961 until December 1963. During his enlistment he was stationed throughout Europe. Denny worked for C & K Coal Company, Grief Brothers and Timberline and owned The Carriage Inn Restaurant in Knox for 22 years. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He shared that love with his family on their many summer trips to Canada. On June 18, 1966, he married the former Kay Wetzel. Denny is survived by his wife and their three children: Rick Zerbe and his wife, Deb, of Knox; Amanda Zerbe and her fiancé, Jeff “Woody” McCleary, also of Knox and Linda Miller and her husband, Todd, of Seneca; Five grandchildren: Emily, Garett and Jessica Zerbe of Knox and Logan and Cassidy Miller of Seneca. Also surviving are two sisters: Virginia Kapp and her husband, Chuck and Bernice Knight; one brother, Bill Zerbe and his wife, Nancy and sisters-in-law: June Zerbe, Carol Zerbe and Barb Black LaPierre and her husband, Paul; one brother-in-law, Bill Bradish and Denny’s beloved dogs, Lucky and Canon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister: Howard Zerbe, Robert Zerbe, Don Zerbe and Charlotte Bradish. He was also preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Jeff Knight and James Black and Charles Knight. Born October 15, 1940 in Lucinda, he was a son of the late Homer W. and Amanda (Pfendler) Zerbe. He married Carol Etzel in the Seneca United Methodist Church on August 12, 1960. She survives. Mr. Zerbe was retired. He worked as a driver/salesman for Hays Baking Company for 28 years. He spent 7 years working as an independent contractor with his nephew, Jim Zerbe and was the co-owner of Keystone Water Well Service. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Shippenville where he formerly served on Counsel. He was a Webelos leader and committee member for Boy Scouts of America Troop # 55 of Ninevah and was a lifetime member of the NRA and North American Hunting Club. He enjoyed fishing, particularly trips to Canada with his sons and their families, hunting with his family and especially with his grandchildren, woodworking, gardening, building ponds with his bulldozer and bird watching. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons: Alan Zerbe and his wife, Rona, of Cranberry; John Zerbe and his wife, Sharon, of Wexford and Eric Zerbe and his wife, Kenda, of Cranberry. Seven grandchildren: Noel, Kayla, Shane, Anthony, Colby, Thomas and Benjamin Zerbe. Three sisters: Virginia Kapp and her husband, Charles, of Clarion; Bernice Knight of Charlotte, NC (formerly of Clarion); Charlotte Bradish and her husband, Bill, of Waynesville, Missouri. Two brothers: Bill Zerbe and his wife, Nancy, of Knox and Dennis Zerbe and his wife, Kay, also of Knox. Sister-in-law, June Zerbe of St. Petersburg. In-laws: Ken and Jone Etzel of Seneca; Jane and Randy Marchinke of Kennerdell and Marsha and Dan Vogan of Seneca. Numerous nieces and nephews and special neighbors, Ashlee and Derek Black. There will be no viewing at Bob's request. His wish was to be cremated. A service will be held in Bob's memory at Noon Wednesday in the church. Reverend Gary Hilfiger, pastor at Trinity Lutheran, will officiate.      Rosemary Catherine Chatham Rosemary Catherine Forrey of Skillman, NJ and Avalon, NJ, formerly of Princeton, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2020. Rosemary was a cherished and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Robert Carl Forrey, her brother Walter Chatham Jr., and her parents Walter Chatham Sr. and Jane Buckley Chatham. She is survived by her four devoted children, Carole (Chris), Lynne (Eric), John (Debbie), David (Erin), and eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, John and Barbara Chatham and many nieces and nephews. Rosemary traveled the world with her husband, Bob, and family visiting many places including England, Ireland, Scotland, France, Italy, Spain, China, Turkey, Greece, Mexico, Canada and Hawaii. Rosemary and Bob also enjoyed several sailboat adventures throughout the Caribbean islands. She shared her love of life and music with her grandchildren who affectionately called her “Gigi." Many happy years were spent at her shore home in Avalon, NJ where four generations of the family gathered together each summer including special July 4th celebrations. She always lit up the room with her warm smile, beautiful singing voice and witty sense of humor. A strong advocate for education and inspiration for her children and grandchildren, she studied at Academy of Notre Dame de Namur, Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital, Immaculata University and College of New Jersey. Throughout a career in nursing and volunteer activities, she was always helping others. Rosemary was very involved in her community and active with the Springdale Golf Club, Dogwood Garden Club, Medical Center at Princeton, Princeton Hospital Fete, Nassau Club, Present Day Club, Yacht Club of Stone Harbor, and as a docent at Morven Museum & Garden in Princeton. Her family will miss her dearly, and fondly remember her stories, laughter and loving presence.3 She was buried at Princeton Cemetery, 29 Greenview Avenue, Princeton, Mercer Co., New Jersey.3 Her married name was Forrey.3 She married Robert Carl Forrey.3 Rosemary Catherine Chatham was born on August 3, 1929 at Pennsylvania.1,5 She died on January 11, 2020 at New Jersey at age 90.3
