She later married Ivan Tally in 1954 and he preceded her in death in 1980. Survivors include two daughters, Violet Wallace of Marshall and Freda Swift of Cary; a sister, Lillian Wesnitzer of Marshall; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild and three great-great-grandchildren.
