Survivors in addition to her mother Mary Hale include one brother, Wayne Hale and wife, Kay of Tazewell, Va; one sister, Cheryl Ann Hale of Texas; one son, Eric Turley of California; special friend, Randy Wilburn; husband, Ronnie Turley of Tazewell, Va; grandson, Jordan Lee Turley; special niece, Leslie Simmons; special friend and nurse, Kathy Cochran; several nieces and nephews. on June 4, 2008.⁶

Those who survive to cherish his memory include his loving companion of over thirty years, Kay Crouse; children, Jeremy Wayne Hale and companion, Patricia Goodman of Tazewell, VA, Rick Mutter and wife, Dawn of Maryland, Robbie Crouse and wife, Angie of Arkansas and Paula Billips and husband, Rex of Bluefield, VA; one sister, Sheryl Ann Hess of Texarkana, TX; grandchildren, Parker Wayne Hale of Tazewell, VA, Cleveland Dylan Hale of Roanoke, VA, Alic Hass, Keerstin Hass and Tyler Hass of Tazewell, VA, Lindsey Billips, Parker Crouse and Zack Crouse; great-grandchildren, Ryleigh and Connor Hass; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends also survive. In honoring Wayne's wishes, his body will be cremated and a Memorial Service will be conducted at a later date. on December 5, 2018.²
