He is a Mason and a member of the Presbyterian church. His wife, Stella, and three daughters survive, Mrs. Kenneth Feese of Franklin, Neb., Martha and Dorothy, also three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Hosford of North Platte, Mrs. Everett Biggs of Columbus, Mrs. Ira Blaine of Grand Island, also five brothers, Harry of York, Ed of Forth Smith, Ark., Otto of Marysville, Kas., Duly of Casper, Wyo, Charles of Omaha. on December 6, 1933.5 He died on December 6, 1933 at Seward, Seward Co., Nebraska, at age 61.4,5

Burial will be at Seward at 3:45 p.m. in the family plot in Seward Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Brown of Lincoln; her mother, Mrs. Stella May Crouse Snow Hill, Md; and two sisters, Mrs. K. J. Feese of Omaha and Mrs. T. H.      Theodore Carl Diers was born on December 4, 1880 at Seward, Seward Co., Nebraska.2,4 He married Sylvia J. Cole, daughter of John Delbert Cole and Marie Louise Ford, in September, 1929 at Lancaster Co., Nebraska.3,4 Theodore Carl Diers died on November 12, 1942 at Lincoln, Lancaster Co., Nebraska, at age 61.4 He The composer of "My Nebraska" ringing song of the Cornhusker state, is dead. Theodore C. Diers, 62, prominent in Nebraska literary and music circles and former member of the University of Nebraska faculty, died unexpectedly Friday morning of a heart attack at his home, 2933 Sewell. Mr. Diers was born Dec. 4, 1880 at Seward and was educated at Concordia seminary there, later studying at the Chicago Musical college and the University of Nebraska. His colorful career included banking and stage work. From 1905 to 1909 he acted professionally in New York. Prior to that he had been connected with the First National bank of Seward. He returned to the midwest and was connected with banking in Nebraska and Wyoming for a number of years and in 1925 became radio director of the University of Nebraska. He directed church choirs and other musical groups, was author and composer of a number of pieces including "My Nebraska." He also contributed poetry to a number of periodicals. He was a member of the Wyoming house of representatives from 1915-17, was federal food administrator for that state during the first World war and member of its defense council. In 1929. he married Sylvia Cole, also active in music and church and University circles. He was secretary of the Nebraska Writers guild for 11 years. In 1940 he resigned his post as university radio director and became state WPA music supervisor. Interested in creative he contributed to the writing, Prairie Schooner and other publications, also wrote many pieces for radio. Active in many organizations, he was a member of the American Interprofessional institute, past director of Rotary, American Red Cross, A. F. & A. M. 54, York Rite, past commander of Knights Templar, past potentate of the Shrine, sovereign Bed Cross of Constantine, O. E. S., past patron, past exalted ruler of the B. P. O. E. and grand exalted ruler of the same organization. He was a member of the Congregational church, was a democrat and chairman of the Wyoming state convention in 1920. He was also a delegate to the democratic national convention in San Francisco and a member of its resolutions committee. Surviving are his wife; mother, Mrs. Anna Diers, Seward; and three brothers, Elvyn, Sheridan, Wyn; Bert, Los Angeles and L. H., Seward. on December 12, 1942.4

Ramsay, 61-year-old poultry industry executive. Mr. Ramsay, poultry manager of Birds-Eye Division of General Foods Corporation at Pocomoke City, died New Year's Day while inspecting a poultry house on his son's farm near Public Landing. A native of Seward, Neb., Mr. Ramsay was a pioneer in modern marketing methods in the poultry industry and was a vice chairman of the board of directors of the Institute of the American Poultry Industry. He also was past president of the Pocomoke City Rotary Club and a past master of the Masonic lodge there. Survivors include his wife, Martha Crouse Ramsay; three sons, Thelbert, Jr., of Public Landing; Don C. of Pocomoke City, and Richard, who is with the armed forces in Alaska; two daughters, Mrs. Janet McGrew, of Fremont, Neb., and Mrs. Theo Hauck, of Girdletree, Md; a brother, Roland Ramsay and a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Hicks, both of Seward. Services will be at 2 P.M. at Makemie Church here with interment in the church cemetery. on January 3, 1958.4
