Arlie enjoyed a long and fulfilling retirement. He found great joy in skeet shooting, hunting, fishing, woodworking, and an ever-evolving list of hobbies and interests. He married Jennifer Alexander Hubbard, the love of his life, on September 6, 1974. The couple had just celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary. Arlie was predeceased by his parents, Arlie and Syble Hubbard; and mother-in-law, Mary Alexander. His is survived by his wife, Jennifer; son, Arlie; sister and brother-in-law, Patty and Bill Frame; nieces and nephews, Barbara and Eric Runyan of Apex, North Carolina, Patrick and Patti Frame of Greenfield, Indiana; and numerous great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. The family wishes to thank all of his friends and family for their continuous help and support during Arlie's extended illness. The visits, gifts of food, labor, and prayers were appreciated more than can be expressed. The family also wishes to thank the Kanawha HospiceCare doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, and social workers who cared for and visited Arlie in his home. May God bless all of you for your compassion. At Arlie's request, his body has been donated to the WVU Human Gift Registry and will be cremated. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. on September 12, 2018.5
