     Henry Harrison "Hank" Higginbotham Jr. LAKELAND - Henry "Hank" Harrison Higginbotham, Jr., of Lakeland, FL, passed away on Friday December 14, 2012 of heart failure. He was 61 years old. He was the oldest son of Henry and Ila Higginbotham Sr. Born in Charleston, WV the family moved to Lakeland, FL in 1956 where he was a Soap Box Derby Champion, an Eagle Scout, and a member of First Presbyterian Church. A graduate of Lakeland High School in 1969 and the University of Florida in 1975 from the school of Building Construction, he was a Civil Engineer at the South West Florida Water Management District. Mr. Higginbotham is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Barbara; daughters, Leah, Beth and Amy; siblings, Donald Higginbotham and Rebecca Rodda and many nieces and nephews.³ He was born on May 8, 1951 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.^5,3 He married Barbara Foster on July 7, 1984 at Broward Co., Florida.⁴ Henry Harrison "Hank" Higginbotham Jr. died on December 14, 2012 at Florida at age 61.³

Born August 19, 1935, in Covington, Virginia, he was the son of Dua Eve Light Allen of Marie and the late William Harold Allen. Mr. Allen was a retired bus driver for the Summers County Board of Education with 20 years of service and was a farmer. He also had been previously employed by Coca Cola in Columbus, Ohio. Harold was a graduate of Forest Hill High School and was a charter member of the Marie Ruritan Club. He was a member of New Hope Methodist Church at Marie and a member of the Hinton Masonic Lodge # 62. Harold was also a U.S. Army veteran. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Brenda Welder Allen; two sons, Harold D. Allen, Jr., of Novi, Michigan, and Dale Eugene Allen of Columbus, Ohio; one daughter, Karen Faye Stewart and husband David of Richmond, Virginia; two brothers, Richard Gene Allen, Sr., and wife Verna of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Michael Dennis Allen and wife Sue of Marie; one sister, Judith Kay Seely and husband Donald of Richmond, Virginia; three grandchildren, Cole Jamison Allen of Lansing, Michigan, Danny K. Allen of Columbus, Ohio, and Whitney Elizabeth Allen of Novi, Michigan; one aunt, Virginia Allen of Hinton; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, June 14, 2010, at New Hope Methodist Church at Marie with Pastors Sam Groves and Sam Haught officiating. Burial with Masonic graveside rites will follow in New Hope Methodist Church Cemetery at Marie. Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday evening at Pivont Funeral Home in Hinton, and one hour prior to services on Monday at the church. Pallbearers will be members of the Hinton Masonic Lodge and will have charge of the graveside rites. Honorary pallbearers will be Gene, Dean and Robbie Tabor, Patrick Harris, Roy Cooper and John Rodney Ford and members of Marie Ruritan Club and Summers County Board of Education Bus Drivers and Garage employees. on June 13, 2010.⁶

     Michael Dennis Allen was buried at Oak Grove Cemetery, Ballengee, Summers Co., West Virginia.^2,3 He Michael Dennis Allen, 74 of Marie, died Sunday February 9, 2020 at his home following an accidental house fire. Born May 17, 1945 in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late William Harold and Dua Eva Light Allen. Mr. Allen was a graduate of Forest Hill High School. He completed his undergraduate and Master’s Degree's from Marshall University. Mr. Allen was retired from the Summers County Board of Education, having worked as a teacher at several county schools, and then was Principal of Talcott High School, and Hinton High School. He was also the Athletic Trainer for a number of years at Hinton High and Summers County High School , and was affectionately called “Doc” Allen. He was a member of New Hope Methodist Church at Marie, and the Marie Ruritan Club. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Sue Tabor Allen and a brother, Harold Allen. Survivors include a brother, Richard G. Allen, Sr. and wife Verna of Huntley, IL and a sister, Judith Kay Seeley and husband Don of Hopewell, VA; and six brothers-in-law, eight sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews also survive. A private family burial was held at Oak Grove Cemetery at Ballengee.² He was born on May 17, 1945 at Washington, D.C..^2,3 He married Carol Sue Tabor on March 25, 1967 at Talcott, Summers Co., West Virginia.^2,7,5 Michael Dennis Allen died on February 9, 2020 at Marie, Summers Co., West Virginia, at age 74.²

Born June 6, 1930, in Marie, she was the daughter of the late Harry Vincent and Eva Welder Light. Mrs. Kincaid was a retired payroll clerk, having retired from the federal Bureau of Prisons in Alderson on May 2, 1981, after 20 years of service, and she was a homemaker. She was a 1948 graduate of Forest Hill High School and a member of New Hope United Methodist Church, Marie. Mrs. Kincaid was a past matron and organist of Alderson Chapter No. 119 Order of the Eastern Star, a past grand representative of Texas in West Virginia and a past deputy instructor, District No. 6. Survivors include her husband, Roy H. Kincaid Jr; a daughter, Deb Shields of Maryland; a sister, Martha A. Gilbert of Hinton; two stepdaughters, Bonnie Myers of Charlottesville and Susan Hall of Palm Harbor, Fla; a grandson, David G. Shields Jr. of Maryland; and a granddaughter, Debbie Ruth Shaw and her husband, Steve, of Andrews Air Force Base, Md. Services will be 11 a.m. today at New Hope United Methodist Church, Marie, with the Revs. Sam Groves and Roger Persinger officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery, Marie. Friends called 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Lobban Funeral Home, Alderson, and may call one hour before services today at the church. Eastern Star services by Alderson Chapter No. 119 were held at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Gilbert was buried at Greenbrier Burial Park, Hinton, Summers Co., West Virginia.² He was born on January 30, 1925 at Hinton, Summers Co., West Virginia.^1,3 He married Martha Ann Light, daughter of Harry Vincent Light and Eva May Welder, on May 27, 1950 at Marie, Summers Co., West Virginia.¹ Raymond D. Gilbert died on January 20, 1987 at Hinton, Summers Co., West Virginia, at age 61.² He HINTON, W.Va. - Raymond Gilbert, 61, of 418 Temple St., died Tuesday, Jan. 20, in a Hinton hospital. He was born in Hinton and had formerly lived in Newport News for 10 years. He was employed by C&O Railroad and Newport News Shipbuilding. He was a member of Parkview United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Martha Ann Gilbert; three sons, James V. Gilbert of Exton, Pa., Timothy R. Gilbert of Wilmington, Del., and David A. Gilbert of Fort Lauderdale, Fla; two sisters, a brother and five grandchildren. A funeral was held last Friday at Hinton First United Methodist Church.      Patricia Ann Lilly was buried at New Saint Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery, 1350 Baltimore Road, Rockville, Montgomery Co., Maryland.⁵ She was born on June 18, 1933 at West Virginia.^2,6,5 As of April, 1953,her married name was Burleson.⁴ She married Carson Burleson in April, 1953 at Indiana.^3,4 Patricia Ann Lilly died on September 13, 2009 at Germantown, Montgomery Co., Maryland, at age 76.^3,6,5 She Patricia Ann Lilly Burleson, formerly of Beaver, W.Va., passed away at age 76, Sept. 13, in Germantown, Md. She was predeceased by her husband, Carson, a son, Scott, and her parents, Von and Helen Lilly. She is survived by a daughter, Martha Chopas (Nick) of Germantown, son, Jon (LauraLee) of Glendale, Calif., grandchildren, Amanda and Erica Chopas, of Maryland, Karen and Daniel Burleson, of Calif., Melissa, Sarah and Evan Burleson and their mother, Jeanne Burleson, of Pa. Surviving siblings are Margaret Sue Martin (Jerald), of Columbia, S.C., Howard Kessel Lilly (Dorothy), of Clay, W.Va., Von Thomas Lilly, of Riverside, Calif., Charles "Buddy" Lilly (Laverne), of Zuni, Va., Nancy Chinnock (Jack), of Rockville, Md., Judee, of Rockville, Md., Cynthia Bentley (Tom), of Grand Junction, Colo., Rebecca von Ashton, of Frederick, Md. Also, several nephews and nieces and many friends. Patty graduated from Shady Spring High School Class of '51 in Beaver, where she was active in drama, FHA and band. She was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Silver Spring, Md. on September 21, 2009.³

     Carson Burleson was buried at New Saint Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery, 1350 Baltimore Road, Rockville, Montgomery Co., Maryland.² His Social Security Number was 412-28-3498.⁵ He was born on August 29, 1925 at Glen Ayre, Mitchell Co., North Carolina.^2,6,5,3,4 He married Patricia Ann Lilly, daughter of Ashton Von Lilly and Helen Mae Green, in April, 1953 at Indiana.^1,4 Carson Burleson died on January 25, 2000 at Maryland at age 74.^6,2,5

     Her married name was Bentley.² Cynthia Lilly married Tom Bentley.² Cynthia Lilly was born on September 22, 1952 at Raleigh Co., West Virginia.³ She died on February 25, 2010 at Grand Junction, Mesa Co., Colorado, at age 57.³

     James Dale Lilly Mr. James Dale Lilly, 83, died Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at Chester Regional Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 28, 2016 at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Dan Sullivan officiating. Interment will be private. Mr. Lilly was born October 15, 1932 in Charleston, West Virginia and was a son of the late Forest McRay Lilly and Faye Vest Lilly. He attended the schools of West Virginia and was a retired veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard having served during the Korean war. Mr. Lilly retired from Kenosha Transportation and was formerly employed as Deputy Sheriff Sargent. in Goochland County, Virginia. He was a life member and past Master of Chester Masonic Lodge #18 and a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of over 33 years, Sarah Harrison “Sally” Lilly; one daughter, Babs Fletcher of Richmond, VA; one grandson, Adam Fletcher of Richmond, VA; one brother, Tommy M. Lilly (Joetta) of Stanton, VA; one sister, Betty Gregnowski of Reidsville, NC; and several nieces and nephews.³ He was born on October 15, 1932 at Mabscott, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.^2,3,4 He married Vivian Estelle Landry on October 15, 1963 at Richmond, Virginia.² James Dale Lilly and Vivian Estelle Landry were divorced on February 9, 1976 at Goochland Co., Virginia.⁴ James Dale Lilly married Sarah Eston Harrison on September 4, 1982 at Goochland Co., Virginia.^2,3,6 James Dale Lilly died on March 23, 2016 at Chester, Chester Co., South Carolina, at age 83.³
