Henry Harrison "Hank" Higginbotham Jr. LAKELAND - Henry "Hank" Harrison Higginbotham, Jr., of Lakeland, FL, passed away on Friday December 14, 2012 of heart failure. He was 61 years old. He was the oldest son of Henry and Ila Higginbotham Sr. Born in Charleston, WV the family moved to Lakeland, FL in 1956 where he was a Soap Box Derby Champion, an Eagle Scout, and a member of First Presbyterian Church. A graduate of Lakeland High School in 1969 and the University of Florida in 1975 from the school of Building Construction, he was a Civil Engineer at the South West Florida Water Management District. Mr. Higginbotham is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Barbara; daughters, Leah, Beth and Amy; siblings, Donald Higginbotham and Rebecca Rodda and many nieces and nephews.3 He was born on May 8, 1951 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.5,3 He married Barbara Foster on July 7, 1984 at Broward Co., Florida.4 Henry Harrison "Hank" Higginbotham Jr. died on December 14, 2012 at Florida at age 61.3

Mr. Allen was a retired bus driver for the Summers County Board of Education with 20 years of service and was a farmer. He also had been previously employed by Coca Cola in Columbus, Ohio. Harold was a graduate of Forest Hill High School and was a charter member of the Marie Ruritan Club. He was a member of New Hope Methodist Church at Marie and a member of the Hinton Masonic Lodge # 62. Harold was also a U.S. Army veteran. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Brenda Welder Allen; two sons, Harold D. Allen, Jr., of Novi, Michigan, and Dale Eugene Allen of Columbus, Ohio; one daughter, Karen Faye Stewart and husband David of Richmond, Virginia; two brothers, Richard Gene Allen, Sr., and wife Verna of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Michael Dennis Allen and wife Sue of Marie; one sister, Judith Kay Seely and husband Donald of Richmond, Virginia; three grandchildren, Cole Jamison Allen of Lansing, Michigan, Danny K. Allen of Columbus, Ohio, and Whitney Elizabeth Allen of Novi, Michigan; one aunt, Virginia Allen of Hinton; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, June 14, 2010, at New Hope Methodist Church at Marie with Pastors Sam Groves and Sam Haught officiating. Burial with Masonic graveside rites will follow in New Hope Methodist Church Cemetery at Marie. Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday evening at Pivont Funeral Home in Hinton, and one hour prior to services on Monday at the church. Pallbearers will be members of the Hinton Masonic Lodge and will have charge of the graveside rites. Honorary pallbearers will be Gene, Dean and Robbie Tabor, Patrick Harris, Roy Cooper and John Rodney Ford and members of Marie Ruritan Club and Summers County Board of Education Bus Drivers and Garage employees. on June 13, 2010.6

Michael Dennis Allen was buried at Oak Grove Cemetery, Ballengee, Summers Co., West Virginia.2,3 He Michael Dennis Allen, 74 of Marie, died Sunday February 9, 2020 at his home following an accidental house fire. Born May 17, 1945 in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late William Harold and Dua Eva Light Allen. Mr. Allen was a graduate of Forest Hill High School. He completed his undergraduate and Master’s Degree's from Marshall University. Mr. Allen was retired from the Summers County Board of Education, having worked as a teacher at several county schools, and then was Principal of Talcott High School, and Hinton High School. He was also the Athletic Trainer for a number of years at Hinton High and Summers County High School , and was affectionately called “Doc” Allen. He was a member of New Hope Methodist Church at Marie, and the Marie Ruritan Club. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Sue Tabor Allen and a brother, Harold Allen. Survivors include a brother, Richard G. Allen, Sr. and wife Verna of Huntley, IL and a sister, Judith Kay Seeley and husband Don of Hopewell, VA; and six brothers-in-law, eight sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews also survive. A private family burial was held at Oak Grove Cemetery at Ballengee.2 He was born on May 17, 1945 at Washington, D.C..2,3 He married Carol Sue Tabor on March 25, 1967 at Talcott, Summers Co., West Virginia.2,7,5 Michael Dennis Allen died on February 9, 2020 at Marie, Summers Co., West Virginia, at age 74.2
