Mrs. Lester was a retired administrative assistant for Arlington County, Va. Stella had a long career with the Riverman and was currently Administrative Assistant for Adventures on the Gorge. A brother, Emory D. Jacks real love was serving his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and for many years he worked in the Jail ministry in Newport News and then at the Southern Regional Jail in Beckley. Jack loved sharing the Gospel with those he met. He was a member of the Nimitz Missionary Baptist Church and the Gideon's International Beckley Camp. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jackie Lee Lawrence Jr. and a brother, Ed Lawrence. She loved to cook and enjoy her home, especially her screened in porch. While she will be immeasurably missed, we have the reassurance that she is in Heaven with our Lord, as Mary had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
