They lived at Twin Falls for three years until moving to Filer in 1927 where Mr. Johnson owned and operated the Sunny Chix Hatchery until his retirement. He was a past member of the First Baptist Church of Filer and held many offices in church. Surviving are: a daughter, Betty Jo Ebersole of Burley; two sons, Marshall Johnson of Filer and Rev. Jim Johnson of Pocatello; a sister, Edith Bugg of Springfeld, Mo; a brother, Leonard Johnson of Wichita, Kan; seven grandchildren; and eight greatgrandchildren. In addition to his wife, he is also preceded in death by a daughter, Marianne Johnson, and a brother, Willie Johnson. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the White Mortuary Chapel with Dr. Will Lane officiating, assisted by the Rev. Roy Watson. Burial will be in the Filer IOOF Cemetery. on January 1, 1982.4

They made their home in Filer following his discharge from the service. He worked for his father, Lindsay, at the Sunny Chix Hatchery and also as an independent painting contractor for 30 years. He had also served as a member of the Filer City Council. He was a charter member and had held many offices in the First Baptist Church of Filer. He was a member of the Filer American Legion and the Filer Masonic Lodge No. 55 AF. & AM. He enjoyed fishing and camping. He is survived by his wife, Bette of Filer; a son and daughter-in-law, Lindsay and Gini Johnson, and their children, Gina and Jeff; a daughter and her husband, Suzan and Jay Ronk, and their children, Jayson and Becky, a brother, the Rev. Jim Johnson of Oregon City, Ore; and his sister and brother-in-law, Betty Jo and Keith Ebersole of Orange, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Marianne Johnson. The graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1992, at the Filer IOOF Cemetery with the Rev. James Amend officiating. on November 29, 1992.4

Surviving are two daughters, the Rev. Dr. Carolyn R. Smith of Goldsboro, N.C., and Elizabeth R. Lamb of Decatur, Ga; a sister, Sara B. Scott of Spartanburg; and six grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Willie Teague. on January 14, 2000.2
