     Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Titmas was born on January 18, 1931 at Akron, Summit Co., Ohio.1 As of August 31, 2001,her married name was Schwarz.3 She married James Nolan "Jim" Schwarz, son of Harold McClure Schwarz and Jean Brooks "Jeanie" Cunningham, on August 31, 2001 at Ohio.2,3 Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Titmas died on May 12, 2017 at Ohio at age 86.1 She Elizabeth Ann Kakos Schwarz, 1931-2017, age 86, of Lake Cable, passed away May 12, 2017. She was born on January 18, 1931 in Akron, daughter to the late William and Clara (Black) Titmas. She earned her Master's degree from the University of Akron and was a few hours shy of her Doctorate. Elizabeth retired from Jackson Schools where she had taught for over 30 years and was an instructor at the University of Akron. Elizabeth was an avid reader, an accomplished swimmer, having earned the title All American Master, she taught swim lessons for over 50 years, and had been a majorette, lifeguard and was a swimming coach and official. Elizabeth kept busy by singing in the church choir at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, member of Sweet Adelines City of Flags Chorus. She loved family picnics, traveling, quilting, gardening, sewing and being a puppeteer. She was a member of the Lake Cable Garden Club, Red Hat Ladies and was a supporter of the Humane Society and American Red Cross. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Von Smith; second husband, Nick Kakos; third husband, James Schwarz; and daughter, Karen E. Smith. Survivors include her longtime companion, Thomas D. Lilly; daughter, Lynn S. (Thomas) Dean; grandson, Craig V. (Jessica) Dean; two great-grandsons, Thomas J. and Maximus A. Dean; brothers, John (Karin) Titmas, James Titmas and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Memorial service will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. in St. Paul Episcopal Church, 425 Cleveland Ave. SW in Canton with Rev. Dr. Erwin Smuda officiating. on May 17, 2017.1
