     Mahala Frances Hall was born in May, 1837 at Virginia.4,5 As of January 29, 1859,her married name was Reed.2,5 She married Solomon Reed on January 29, 1859 at Jackson Co., Missouri.2,5 Mahala Frances Hall died on December 5, 1920 at Cassville, Barry Co., Missouri, at age 83.5 She Mrs. Mahala Reed, wife of Solomon Reed, died at the Reed home on North Main Street in Cassville, Sunday morning December 5, at the age of 83 years. Mrs. Reed had been sick of dropsy for the past ten months and her death was not unexpected. The body was prepared by the Horine Undertaking Establishment and taken back to Jackson County for interment. Mr. and Mrs. Reed came to Cassville last May from Jackson County, where they had lived nearly all their lives. She was born in Virginia in 1837 and when just a small child moved with her parents to this state. She leaves three children, Jessee Reed, Mrs. Lydia List and Mrs. Anna Hall, all of whom live and Cassville. Funeral services were held here Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. J. T. Bratton. She had been a member of the Baptist church for many years. on December 9, 1920.5
