He was a retired carpenter. He was preceded in death by his wife: Eva G. Snuffer Willis; a grandson: Christopher Back; two brothers, Chester and Jackie Willis; and a sister, Clara Porter. Survivors include one son, James E. Willis and wife Ann of Winchester, Ky; one daughter, Rebecca Back and husband William of Crab Orchard; five grandchildren: Jennifer Alimento, Keith Willis, Seth Scott, Taylor Back and Brooke Back. Two great-grandchildren: Natalie Alimento and Jada Back. Nine sisters and two brothers: Nadine Acord of Texas, Kathleen Woodie and Annette Smith both of Ohio, Dean Willis of Maryland, Betty Bolen of Crab Orchard, Carol Sue Dean of Michigan, Joe Willis of Ohio, Rose Mary O'Dell of Beckley, Brenda Farley of Shady Spring, Ilene Boyd of Virginia, and Sharon Jones of North Carolina. Born on May 12, 1926, in Cedar, WV, she was the daughter of the late James Albert Willis, Sr., and the late Elva Lenticum Willis. During her more active years she was a homemaker, and a wonderful wife and loving mother. She loved spending time with her family and always looked forward to the yearly reunion when she would see her sisters, brothers, and their families. She had a great love of all animals and bird-watching. She had a very special cat that she took in named Miss Kitty who will miss her very much. Nadine was preceded in death by her husband Luther D Acord, one sister, Clara Porter, and three brothers, James Willis, Jr., Chester Willis, and Jackie Willis. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Debra Pinson and husband James, of Carrollton, TX, and two grandsons, JJ Kent of West Palm Beach, FL, and Chris Pinson of Carrollton, TX. Also included are two brothers and eight sisters. Brothers are Dean Willis and wife Shirley of Middle River, MD, and Joe Willis of Vandalia, OH. Sisters are Kathleen Woodie of Vandalia, OH, Annette Smith of Waynesville, OH, Carol Sue Dean and husband Gilbert of Livonia, MI, Betty Bolen and husband Bob of Crab Orchard, WV, Rosemary O'Dell and husband Gary of Beckley, WV, Brenda Farley and husband Wayne of Shady Spring, WV, Ilene Boyd of Roanoke, VA, and Sharon Jones and husband Bill of Elizabeth City, NC, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. The family of Nadine wishes to thank many special people at Heritage Gardens Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center for the care shown to her. Also, thank you to the kind and caring staff in the CCU at Plano Presbyterian Hospital in her last hours. Most of all, we thank our loving family and friends for all of their prayers, support, and overwhelming kindness in our time of need and sorrow. Funeral services were held at Rhoton Funeral Home in Carrollton, TX, on Thursday, December 22, 2011, at 3 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley, West Virginia. on December 27, 2011.2

She was a lifelong member of North Riverdale Grace Brethren Church. Service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Crab Orchard Baptist Church with the Rev. Phil Shields officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.
