Ms. Hicks was preceded in death by her beloved husband Joseph Charles "Bo" Hicks; daughters Sandra Sue Lang and Janine Hicks; brother Harry Poff; and sister Vivian Poff. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 1, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home. Graveside Services will conducted by Rev. Ron Dempsey Thursday, July 3, 2008 at Riverside Memorial Park. Arrangements by Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205. on July 1, 2008.4

Born April 19, 1908, in Grandview, she was the daughter of the late John and Laura Johnson Ennis. Mrs. Martin was a homemaker and a lifetime member of Grandview Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chilton Weston Martin; three sisters, Wilmer Fitzgerald, Mattie Haney and Cecyl Daniels; and a brother, Noel Ennis. Survivors include three sons, Aldus Martin of Benson, N.C., Arthur “Nick” Martin and his wife, Pasty, of Clarksville, Tenn., and Aaron “Buddy” Martin and his wife, Barbara, of Beaver; a daugther, Anna Wrobleski and her husband, Ed, of Randallstown, Md; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Arthacl Green of Beaver.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Blue Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Beckley, with Pastor Roger Pauley officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. on May 12, 2000.3
