Paul Dallas Boyd was buried at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, 5233 Rocky Fork Road, Cross Lanes, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.3 He was born on February 20, 1937 at Kanawha Co., West Virginia.2,11 He married Nancy Belle/Bell Hunter on September 11, 1954 at Julian, Boone Co., West Virginia.12,2,3 Paul Dallas Boyd died on September 29, 2013 at West Virginia at age 76.3 He Paul Dallas Boyd, 76, loved husband, daddy, pop and great-pop, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday afternoon, September 29, 2013. His entire family surrounded him as he went home, just as they did many Sunday afternoons over the years. He attended Dickinson Methodist Church and was baptized in the creek at the age of 12. In his early teens he sang on the Sunday Morning Hour Gospel Radio Show with his sisters, Ruby and Lorene. Paul became a member of Dupont City Presbyterian Church in 1954, where he raised his family and sang in the men's quartet. In the early-90s he joined Judson Baptist Church, where he currently served as an active deacon and sang with his two girls. Paul graduated in 1955 from DuPont High School, where he lettered in football, basketball and track. He was a member of the Varsity Club, male chorus, student council, captain of both the football and basketball team and placed in All-County and All-State in football as a fullback. There he met a little majorette named Nancy; they fell in love and married their junior year in high school. He became a Master Mason of Salina Lodge No. 27 AF&AM in 1964 and also was a 32nd Degree Mason. Paul was a member of Beni Kedem Shrine, where he joined the Clown Unit as "Bodie." One of his most heartwarming moments was visiting the kids at the Burn Unit and entertaining children at the Shrine Circus. His grandkids loved it when "Pop" dressed in his clown attire. He was past grand patron of the Grand Chapter of the West Virginia Order of the Eastern Star and a 31-year member of Salina Chapter No. 81. Preceding him in death were his parents, Charles Donald and Grace Evelyn Paxton Boyd; sisters, Mabel "Sis" Dixon, Juanita Taylor and Lillian Cutwright; and brothers, Leonard, Wilford, Robert and Jack. He loved God, family, the beach, the Pittsburgh Steelers and any teams that his grandchildren played on. He never wanted to miss anything that the grandkids did. Paul had the biggest heart and was one of the most humble men anyone ever met. He was the neighborhood Dad and Pop to all the kids. Entombment will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Cross Lanes, with Masonic graveside rites performed by Salina Lodge No. 27 AF&AM. The family would like to extend a special thanks to CAMC General Hospital, Dr. Hatem Hossino, Dr. Ron Biswas, nurses, Teresa and Emma, the staff of MICU and 4 South for all their special love and care. on October 1, 2013.3
