Mrs. Skipton was employed by Gordon's Store in Casper. When they returned to Denver, she worked as a title clerk for 17 years before retiring. Mrs. Skipton was an avid reader and was interested in politics, travel and family history, compiling geneaology papers on both the Skipton and Wilson families. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Elbert, Colo. In addition to her husband, John, of Englewood, Colo., she is survived by a daughter, Laurel Hines of Glenwood Springs, Colo; one sister, Dorothy Sivers of Eaton, Colo; a granddaughter, Hope Waibel of Clovis, N.M; a grandson, John Hines of Plummer, Idaho; three great-granddaughters; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, John Elwin; and a brother, Bernard Wilson of Casper. Burial was at the Elizabeth Cemetery. on June 5, 1990.4

     Marva Mae Miller Marva Mae Moore, age 89, of Flora, Illinois, formerly of Xenia, passed away Monday afternoon, April 9, 2018, at Heritage Woods in Flora. Marva Mae was born August 9, 1928, in Xenia, the daughter of Owen O. and Edna (Burkett) Miller. She married F. Roy Moore on September 28, 1946, in Xenia, and together they shared 46 years of marriage. He preceded her in death on October 2, 1992. Marva Mae was a homemaker, worked briefly at Brown Shoe Company, and was a longtime member of Brush Creek Community of Christ. She enjoyed taking care of the outdoors and spending time with her flowers and gardening. She was also a bird lover and kept an eye out on the Purple Martin houses as well as feeding and watching the many birds that spent time at her feeders. Marva Mae was truly a kind and supportive wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She is survived by her daughter: Nikki and husband Roger Martin of Murphysboro; her son: Kevin and wife Susan (Cook) Moore of Xenia; her grandchildren: Stassi Hardage and husband Stacy, Shawn Buckley and wife Teri and their children Emily and John, Stephanie Fox and husband Stephen and their children Madeline, Charlie and Natalie, Tyler Moore and wife Helen and their children Lucy, William and Audrey, Michael Moore and wife Kaci and their daughter Nora, Sarah Pearce and husband Derek and their children Greyson and Fiona, and Elizabeth Moore and her fiancé Paul Henderson; and a step-sister: Wanda Eastin and husband Russell of Flora. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother: Lavarre “Billy” Miller; step-father: Lewis DeSelms; and two step-sisters: Geraldine Clements and Darlene Pierce.      Mabel Emmaline Warfel was buried at Brick Cemetery, Newton, Jasper Co., Illinois.3 She Mabel Emmaline Kibler age 92, passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021 at her home in rural Newton. Burial will be in the Brick Cemetery, rural Newton. Mabel was born on April 19, 1929 in Champaign County, Illinois the daughter of Rual and Chlora Mae (Chapman) Warfel. On October 5, 1947, Mabel married Orville R. Kibler. He survives. Mabel spent her life as a wife, mother and homemaker. For many years, Mabel sold Mary Kay and W.T. Rawleigh products. Mabel was a member of the Central Christian Church. In her free time, Mabel enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing and quilting. She liked to whittle and was an accomplished wood worker, having made many wooden toys and furniture pieces for their home. She was proud of the log cabin she and Orville built together. Survivors include her husband Orville R. Kibler of Newton; son Maurice (Linda) Kibler of Greenup; daughter Barbara Frisina of Springfield; nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren; halfbrothers Ronnie Warfel of Rose Hill, Doyle Warfel of Newton and Larry Warfel of Martinsville and Sister Jeanette Sachau of Charleston, SC. Her parents, brothers Raymond Warfel, Robert Warfel, and Glenn Warfel and a great grandchild preceded her in death.7 She was born on April 19, 1929 at Champaign Co., Illinois.3 As of October 5, 1947,her married name was Kibler.3 She married Orville Ray Kibler on October 5, 1947.2,3,4 Mabel Emmaline Warfel died on November 13, 2021 at Newton, Jasper Co., Illinois, at age 92.3

Her parents; her husband; one grandson, Mark Warfel; two infant great-grandchildren; two brothers, Alanzo Chapman and her twin brother, Earl Chapman and two sisters, Chlora Warfel and Mary Ann Wright preceded her in death. Pearl was a member of the Kemp Church of Christ. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, canning, cooking and baking and was known by many, especially her grandchildren, as the World's Greatest Noodle Maker. Pearl was a very generous person and her main focus in her life was to be there for her family. Memorials may be made to the Kemp Church of Christ or to the Shults-Lewis Children and Family Services of Valparaiso, IN. on October 31, 2003.1

He enjoyed gardening, planting trees, feeding birds and bird watching, environmental conservation, and he especially enjoyed attending his grandchildren's activities. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or St. John's Lutheran Church and School. on November 3, 2010.2
