     Shirley Mae Trent Shirley Mae Trent Dowden, 68, of Mallory, went home to be with the Lord, January 29, 2012 from Select Specialty Hospital in Charleston. She was born January 6, 1944, at Landville, a daughter of the late Eli and Causba O'Neil Trent. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Cora Trent. Shirley was a home maker and a beloved wife and mother. She enjoyed crocheting, reading the bible, and doing genealogy research. Those left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband, Bobby Joe Dowden; five children, Stephanie Dowden at home, Bobby Joe Dowden, Jr. of Zephyrhills, FL, Melissa "Lisa" Dowden and Kathy (Robert) Caudill, both of Mallory, and Rodney (Connie) Dowden of Madison Creek; ten brothers, Larry Trent, Bobby Trent, Ronnie Trent, Danny Trent, Norman Trent, Dennis Trent, Jack Trent, Terry Trent, John David Trent, and Seth Trent; three sisters, Judy Baughman, Cathy Hunter, and Patricia Dority; nine grandchildren, Kevin Dowden, Tori Dowden, Lilly Dowden, Tristian Dowden, Joseph Caudill, Zachary Caudill, Taylor Caudill, Little Robert Caudill, and Lexus Dowden; one great grandchild, Baylee Walker; and many special nieces and nephews along with a host of other family members and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2012, at the Hunt Freewill Baptist Tabernacle at Hunt with Rev. Donald Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the church and one hour prior to services at the church. Pallbearers will be Robert Caudill, Bobby Joe Dowden, Jr., Rodney Dowden, Zachary Caudill, Joseph Caudill, and Little Robert Caudill.² She was buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pecks Mill, Logan Co., West Virginia.² She was born on January 6, 1944 at Landville, Logan Co., West Virginia.² As of October 19, 1964,her married name was Dowden.³ She married Bobby Joe Dowden on October 19, 1964 at Lebanon, Russell Co., Virginia.^1,2,3 Shirley Mae Trent died on January 29, 2012 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia, at age 68.²
