He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a longtime employee of Norfolk & Western Railroad. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Hall Miller. Scott IV and wife Becky of Roanoke, Travis Craddock and Katrina Craddock, both of Cloverdale; great-grandchildren, David Sweatt, Grace Scott, Celine Hatherly, Sarah Catherine Rackley, Paul Rackley, Andrew Scott, Samuel Sweatt, Sean Hatherly, Anna Rackley, and Matthew Sweatt. He was preceded in death by his parents, Byron and Jackie Craddock. Tommy was a 1970 graduate of Northside High School, served 8 years in the National Guard, and was a member of St. Phillip Lutheran Church. He retired after 38 years in dental sales. He had many interests and hobbies including, old cars, hunting, and fishing at the Outer Banks and Smith Mountain Lake and coaching youth sports teams. His children remember him as their greatest fan. He never missed one of their sports events, and they always knew where he was in the stands. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Cynthia Scott Craddock; son, Travis Reed Craddock and girlfriend, Laura Robbins; daughter, Katrina Rose (James) Koiner; granddaughters, Brooke Craddock and Annaelise Koiner; sister, Jennifer (Joe) McMillan; nephew, Tyler McMillan and fiancee', Kayla Hamlin; special cousin, Robert Craddock; and his special friends from Patterson Dental, Teresa, Benny, Pete and Charlie. on June 6, 2021.²

     Rev. Elbert Lee Naff was buried at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 2880 North Franklin Street, Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia.⁴ He married Nancy Alice Basham.^6,4 Rev. Elbert Lee Naff was born on March 14, 1933.⁶ He died on September 3, 2018 at Virginia at age 85.⁴ He Elbert Lee Naff Sr., 85, passed away on Monday, September 3, 2018. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Basham Naff of 64 years of Happy Marriage. He is survived by his son, Elbert Lee Naff. Jr. wife (Robin) and his daughter, Anita Roberson (Robin); also three grandchildren, Tiffany Martin (Scott), Taylor Naff and Blake Roberson; one great grandchild, Averie Martin and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by sisters, Helen Altizer, Joyce Moore and Lola Clower (Harless); and Brother, Arnold Naff (Christine) and sister-in-law, Brenda Naff. He is preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Melissa Martin Naff; his brothers, Rev. Preston Naff, Rev. J.T. Naff, Paul, Billy, and Harold Naff; sister, Ruth Zieglar, Melba Bryant and Dianne Trump. He has lived in the Basham community of Pilot most of his life, he spent two years in the United States Army as a medic with a year in Korea. He worked for Donnkenny Inc. for twenty years as a credit and accounts receivable manager and shipping manager, he also farmed part-time most of his life. He became a Christian in October 1943 in Church of Brethren and entered Christian Ministry in 1971 and was Ordained in the Church of Brethren and served as Pastor of Smith Chapel, West Virginia, Red Oak and Stonewall Church. He served six years on District Board in Ministry and Finance comm., served nine years on Small Membership Cong comm., visited many churches and encouraged them, touched hundreds of lives and he helped lead many to Christ and Baptized them, conducted many funerals, anointing services and weddings, also made thousands of visits in homes, hospitals and nursing homes and conducted many revivals services in three different states. Funeral Services will be held at Gardner Funeral Home on Saturday September 8, 2018 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Elbert Lee Naff Jr. and the Rev. Robin Naff Officiating with entombment in the Mausoleum at Roselawn in Christiansburg. on September 6, 2018.⁴

     Dewey Glovern Gearhart was buried at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5737 Airport Road NW, Roanoke, Virginia.¹⁰ His Social Security Number was 230-40-5884.¹¹ He was born on November 25, 1936 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.^3,5,12,11 He married Barbara Ann Woodcock on May 27, 1956 at Franklin Springs, Franklin Co., Georgia.¹³ Dewey Glovern Gearhart and Barbara Ann Woodcock were divorced in November, 1959 at Dade Co., Florida.¹⁴ Dewey Glovern Gearhart married Shirley Jean Key on June 11, 1960 at Sparta, Alleghany Co., North Carolina.^4,5 Dewey Glovern Gearhart married Barbara Jean Foster circa 1962.^15,16 Dewey Glovern Gearhart and Shirley Jean Key were divorced on January 11, 1962 at Roanoke, Virginia.⁴ Dewey Glovern Gearhart died on February 9, 2012 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia, at age 75.^3,11,6 He Dewey Glovern Gearhart, formerly of Salem, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2012. Dewey was born on November 25, 1936, to the late Forest and Helen Gearhart. He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara Gearhart; and brother, Kenneth Gearhart. Dewey is survived by his daughter, Kim Mineroldi and son-in-law, Todd, grandson, Zach; son, Bill Gearhart and daughter-in-law, Carolyn, grandson, Curtis, and granddaughter, Sarah; daughter, Pam Tate and son-in-law, Steve, and granddaughters, Lauren and Ashley. Dewey was a graduate of Emanuel College and further studied at Roanoke College. He spent some early years on the Salem Rescue Squad. He owned and operated Gearhart's Shoe Repair, started by his grandfather in 1918, until closing the business in 1994. A 76 year old tradition in downtown Salem. Dewey was a longtime member of Bethel Baptist Church, Deacon and Director of the Sunday School Department and Sunday School Teacher. He was also an avid fisherman, enjoyed following UVA sports and loved cheering for his grandson on the baseball field.
