David Hoback1,2,3

M, b. circa 1798
David Hoback was born circa 1798 at Virginia.2 He married Sophia Conner, daughter of Andrew Conner and Elizabeth "Priscilla" Aldridge, on October 25, 1826 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.1,4 David Hoback married Mary Ann Moore on December 10, 1829 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.4 David Hoback left a will in 1839; Sophia probably died before Andrew Conner's will was written in 1839. In his will, Andrew left $1 to David Hoback and $30 to Nancy Ann Hoback. This leads one to conclude that Nancy was probably the daughter of David and Sophia.

The Sunnyhill settlement was thrown into sorrow Sunday morning when Mamie, the five year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Iddings, was killed by falling from a wagon. The wagon held the Iddings family and about ten other neighbors, all of whom were going to Swan Lake, a distance of two miles, for a Sunday picnic. They had not gone more than a mile from Idding's farm when the little girl started to change her position in the wagon. while she was standing, the left rear wheel sank into a hole in the road and she lost her balance, falling over the side of the wagon. Just as she went over she clutched the board on the hay rack and threw herself beneath the wheels, the rear wheel passing completely over her head before her father could stop the team. The injured girl was carried to the home of one of the neighbors and Dr. Owen Taylor from Kent was summoned. Though the girl was breathing when he arrived, it was the doctor's opinion that she never knew what happened after the accident. She lived until 1 o'clock P.M. Mr. Iddings told deputy coroner C. G. Chittenden, when the latter made a formal investigation, that he had a presentment when he started to hitch up that something would happen, and that his wife asked him why he was reluctant to go. He replied that he did not know at the time, but that he had a 'hunch' something would happen. The victim is the youngest of five children. on August 14, 1913.2

Edward Joseph Iddings Edward Iddings, May 27, 1928 - Nov 1, 2017. Ed Iddings peacefully went home to our Lord on Wednesday, November 1st, 2017. He was 89 years old. Ed was born in Renton Washington on May 27,1928 to Edwin and Gladys Iddings. He grew up in Renton Washington, attending school there. From 1946-1948 Ed served his country in WWII, based in Japan. He was a jumper in the Air Borne division, a sharpshooter, a cook and mess sergeant in the army. After the army he got into the auto industry, following in his father’s footsteps, operating the lube rack at Williams & Swanson Chevrolet in Renton. He then began selling cars for dealers in the area and did so until his retirement in 1990. He married Helen Schlumpf on May 10th, 1952 and raised their family in Renton Wa. The couple traveled the world. They had many adventures such as flying in gliders, soaring in hot air balloons and climbing the Great Wall of China. They had taken 13 cruises and one of Ed’s fondest memories was their cruise on the Rhine River through Germany and Holland. Recently he had the greatest ride of his life—DRIVING laps in a Ferrari. Family get-togethers were very special to Ed, especially Fourth of July, annual sauerkraut making and all holidays. Ed’s favorite summer days were spent at the family cabin on Lake Tapps teaching his children and grandchildren to water ski. Singing in a Barbershop Quartet was a passion of Ed’s and he had many great memories of his time together with the guys. Ed was a member of St. Stephen the Martyr Church and helped raise the funds to build the church—was even there on the day that ground was broke for construction. He served as an usher for years and was very active in serving the church community in the Knights of Columbus. Ed is survived by his loving family - his children, Thomas (Pati) Iddings, Renton WA, Susan (Tom) Waggoner, Kent WA, Cathleen Iddings, Renton WA and Cynthia (Tom) Mortimer, Auburn WA. He leaves six grandchildren- Craig Waggoner, Jennifer Waggoner, Melissa Kenn, Andy Iddings, Danny Iddings and Sierra Mortimer. Also five great grandchildren - Alexis Waggoner-Lommen, Elliott Kenn, Oliver Kenn, Brady Kenn and Sage Waggoner. Ed is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years Helen, daughter Charlene, parents Edwin and Gladys Weber- Iddings and sister Joyce Curtis. Service, Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 100 Blaine Ave. NE, Renton, WA.3 He was buried at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Renton, King Co., Washington.3,7 He was born on May 27, 1928 at Renton, King Co., Washington.3,7,4 He married Helen F.
