     Virgie Ellen Cochran was buried at Trail Cemetery, Surveyor, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.² She was born on March 23, 1930 at Metalton, Raleigh Co., West Virginia; Her marriage license has a birth date of Mar 23, 1929.^2,3 As of December 10, 1949,her married name was Terry.³ She married James Edward "Jimmy" Terry, son of Dewey Johnson Terry and Thelma Louise Webb, on December 10, 1949 at Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.^1,3 Virgie Ellen Cochran died on June 10, 2004 at West Virginia at age 74.²

Born Dec. 14, 1952, Mr. Terry spent his childhood in Eccles, W.Va., and also was a former resident of Bolt. He was the son of the late James Edward Sr. and Virgie Cochran Terry. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Dewey and Thelma Terry; maternal grandparents, Clarence and Edna Cochran and a great nephew, Ryan League. Mr. Terry attended Trap Hill High School. He was formerly employed by Ranger Fuel, Westmoreland and Beckley Coal Companies, most recently being employed by Ryder Logistics Trucking Co. of Glen Burnie, Md. He was of the Christian faith. He will be sadly missed by his loving daughters, Angela Terry Harvey and her husband, Richard, of Bolt, Ashley Terry of Edgewood, Md., and Miranda Blevins of Hanover, Pa; devoted sons, James Edward Terry III of Blue Ridge, Va., and Christopher Hinchliff of Joppatown, Md; seven wonderful grandchildren, Paige, Taylor, Triston, Rebecca, Matthew, Alexis and Jaydon; a loving sister, Alice League and her husband, Darrell, of Lester; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins who will cherish his memory. With loving memories, he will also be sadly missed by Brenda Terry, Dana Hinchliff and Harvella Collette. Service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Melton Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Wallace York officiating. Burial will follow in the Trail Cemetery, Surveyor. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of the service on Wednesday.      Jessie Katherine Terry was buried at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5250 Robert Centre Byrd Drive, Prosperity, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.¹ She was born on April 17, 1925 at Tolley Town, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.^5,8,1 As of July 29, 1945,her married name was Cochran.⁵ She married George Washington Cochran on July 29, 1945 at Crab Orchard, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.^5,9,1 Jessie Katherine Terry died on July 26, 2013 at Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia, at age 88.^8,1 She On Friday, July 26th, 2013, our most precious mother, Jessie Cochran, "slipped out the door" of her earthly home and went to Heaven. Jessie was blessed to pass away under the tender and loving care of the Bowers Hospice House. She was in her 88th year. One of twelve children, Jessie Katherine Terry was born on April 17th, 1925, at Surveyor. She was the daughter of the late Dewey Johnson and Thelma Marie Webb Terry. Her brothers, Jimmy and Bobby Lee, and sisters, Louise Farmer and Mable Showalter, have preceded her in death. Jessie is survived by her siblings, Donald, Harold, Ronald, Gregory, and Billy Dean Terry, Bessie Bass and Willa Mae Kimball; several nieces and nephews survive as well. Jessie spent her childhood at Surveyor. On July 29th, 1945, she married George Washington Cochran. To this union were born seven children, Tommy Cochran and his companion, Ellen Allmon, Benny and his wife, Ruth, Denny who has passed away, Patty Godfrey and her husband, Lester, Bobby, Donna Brown and Steve Cochran and his girlfriend, Sandy Moye; Jessie was blessed with 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A resident of Dutch Lane since 1992, Jessie and her family formerly lived at Grandview. George died on June 13th, 1992. Jessie will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. In her leisure time, she enjoyed her collectibles, her flowers and gardening. Today, Tuesday, July 30th, at 2 p.m., there will be a "Service of Remembrance" at the Melton Mortuary Chapel. Rev. Paul Zutaut will be officiating. Jessie will be laid to rest beside George in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, and now, "Oh Glad Reunion." The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the service hour. Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers. on July 30, 2013.¹

     Denny Lee Cochran was buried at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5250 Robert Centre Byrd Drive, Prosperity, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.^7,4 He married Sandy Unknown.⁴ Denny Lee Cochran was born on March 28, 1946 at Eccles, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.⁷ He married Brenda Carol Hollingsworth on February 14, 1969 at Prosperity, Raleigh Co., West Virginia; Denny was divorced at the time of this marriage.² Denny Lee Cochran died on January 26, 1993 at Huntsville, Madison Co., Alabama, at age 46.^7,4 He Denny Lee Cochran, 46, of Huntsville, formerly of Beckley, W.Va., died Jan. 26, 1993, in a Huntsville hospital after a long illness. He was a disabled coal miner for Eccles No. 6. He was a Christian, a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War, and a member of VFW and American Legion. Surviving: wife, Sandy Cochran; sons, David Stanley, Gregory Stanley and John Stanley Cochran, all of Huntsville; daughter, Rhonda Bailey of Beckley; brothers, Thomas E., Bobby, Benny and Steven, all of Beckley; sisters, Patty Godfrey of Dumfries, Va., Donna Brown of Beckley; three grandchildren Service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Melton Mortuary, Beckley, with the Rev. Gene Hall officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. on January 28, 1993.⁴

He was a retired miner having worked in Eccles with more than 50 years' service. He was a member of UMW Local 5770, a Christian and a lifelong resident of Surveyor.
