     Jason Kevin King was buried at Piedmont Cemetery, Rt. 11 to Shawsville, turn at nursing home, Rt. 637, about 8 miles on the left, Montgomery Co., Virginia.⁵ He was born on September 19, 1971 at Roanoke, Virginia.^1,3,4,5 He died on October 4, 1993 at Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia, at age 22; Died from injuried received in an automobile accident.^1,4,5 He KING, Jason Kevin, 22, of Shawsville, died Monday, October 4, 1993, as the result of an automobile accident in Christiansburg. He was a student at Radford University and was preceded in death by his father, Versey Milton King, Jr. Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Kathy and Reginald D. Conner, Shawsville; two brothers and sister-in-law, Jeffrey Allen King of Shawsville; Terry and Michelle Conner of Roanoke; one sister and brother-in-law, Amy and David Downing, Shawsville; his grandmothers, Odell Perdue, Shawsville, Lillian King, Salem; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Burial in East Hill Cemetery, Elliston. on October 5, 1993.²

     Reginald Douglas Conner Reginald Douglas Conner, 81, of Shawsville, VA was called home on June 9, 2024. He was born on September 8, 1942 to the late James Daniel and Pearl Camper Conner in southwestern Virginia. Reggie was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Conner and two sons, Terry Conner and Jason King. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 48 years, Kathy Perdue Conner, and son Jeffery King of the home, daughter Amy Downing (David) of Chesapeake, VA as well as three grandsons, Cody Conner, Jonathan Downing, and Gabriel Downing. He is also survived by his sisters Juanita Gibson (Wayne) and Linda Byer (Wilbur) along with a sister-in-law, Judy East and a brother-in-law Robert Perdue (Jean). Reggie was a hardworking provider who enjoyed working with his hands. He made his living as a talented mechanic specializing in Volkswagens before retiring from First Team Auto in Roanoke. He was also a skilled craftsman creating furniture and decor in his home workshop for friends and family. Reggie was gifted in many trades and used his carpentry skills to improve his home and those of his children. He was an involved member of his community, volunteering as an EMT with the Shawsville Rescue Squad where he was made a lifetime member.      Terry Allen Conner was born on December 29, 1960 at West Virginia.² He married Michelle Annette Tinsley, daughter of Donald Eugene "Don" Tinsley and Carol Ann Stamper, on October 14, 1988 at Roanoke, Virginia.^3,2 Terry Allen Conner died on June 11, 2004 at age 43; Comitted suicide by gunshot.¹ He Terry Allen Conner, 43, of Roanoke, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, June 11, 2004. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty K. Conner; a step brother, Jason King; and grandparents, Laura and Delvin Osbourne. Terry was an avid outdoorsman with a special love for hunting, fishing, and Nascar racing. He was proud of his family and the fact that he successfully operated his own business. Surviving is his wife, Michelle Tinsley Conner; son, Cody Allen Conner of the home; father and stepmother, Reggie and Kathy Conner; stepbrother, Jeff King; stepsister, Amy King, all of Shawsville; mother-in-law, Carol Tinsley, Roanoke; father-in-law, Donald Tinsley and wife Linda, of Vinton; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dennis and Peggy Tinsley, Carl and Susan Walters, Pamela Tinsley; special nephew, Hunter Walters; other nieces and a nephew, Faith, Chelsea and Chase Tinsley; special uncle, Charlie Tinsley; and a number of other aunts, uncles, and cousins. on June 13, 2004.¹

     Richard Steven Yopp was buried at Old Dominion Memorial Gardens, 7271 Cloverdale Road, Cloverdale, Botetourt Co., Virginia.^2,7 His Social Security Number was 231-74-8604.⁸ He Richard Steven (Steve) (Scout) Yopp, 60, of Troutville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 5, 2013. He was a Vietnam Veteran where he served in the U. S. Marine Corp and later retired from the U. S. Army with the rank of Staff Sergeant. After his retirement from the Army, he worked as a Truck Driver. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Garnett Yopp; his brother, Harold Yopp; and his beloved uncle, Kenneth Collins. Steve is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Debra Yopp; daughters, Stephanie Hickey, Malia Huffman and husband, Chip; son, Steven Paul Yopp and wife, Trista; one granddaughter, Gracie Huffman and one soon to arrive grandson, Paul Xander Yopp; three brothers and four sisters, Walter Yopp, Jr., Martha Cole, Darden Yopp, Douglas Yopp, Carol Hodges, Phyllis Hodges, Donna McDaniel; and many nieces and nephews. Interment will follow in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens with Military Honors provided by the U. S.      Boyd Blane Harless was buried at Sherwood Burial Park, 1045 Lynchburg Turnpike, Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.^5,7 He was born on December 10, 1954 at Radford, Virginia.^2,3,4,5,7 He married Linda Jo King, daughter of Versey Milton King Sr. and Lillian Frances Poff, on August 17, 1973 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.^1,2 Boyd Blane Harless and Linda Jo King were divorced on March 23, 1977 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.³ Boyd Blane Harless died on May 31, 1986 at Elliston, Montgomery Co., Virginia, at age 31.^5,6,7 He An Elliston man is believed to have drowned early Saturday morning after he apparently drove his car into Roanoke River not far from the local D post office, Montgomery County Sheriff's department officials said." Boyd Blane Harless, 31, of P.O. Box 116, Ellison, apparently drove his car off a private road and over an embankment, flipping the vehicle on its top between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m., dispatcher S.W. Conner said. Harless was found in his submerged car about 9:30 a.m., Sgt. R.L. Hamlin said. His death is being treated as a drowning until an autopsy can be performed by the medical examiner's office in Roanoke. No one from the medical examiner's office could be reached for comment Saturday. Hamlin said he saw no evidence of a gunshot or knife wound. He also said there was no one else in the car.
