She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Maxey; parents, Tolbert and Oma Rock; sisters, Freda Via and Barbara Francisco; and brother, Don Rock. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Eugene and Vicky Maxey; daughter, Pat Meador and Mikel Elliott; grandchildren, Derek and Amy Maxey, Darrell and Brandy Maxey, Bill and Tasha Daugherty, and Amy Daugherty; great-grandchildren, Cammy and Sarah Daugherty, Austin Daugherty, Zane Williams, Willie and Emily Daugherty, and Cameron and Chloe Maxey; sisters, Mildred Via, Jean Crockett and Linda Mollette; brother, Lewis Rock; and special friends, Candy Long, Tammy Hylton and Tonya Crockett. Funeral services will be held noon on Saturday, June 28, 2008, at Lotz Salem Chapel with the Rev. Roger Counts. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 27, 2008, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are being handled by Lotz Funeral Home, Salem, Va. on June 26, 2008.2
