Mrs. Fry graduated from Momence, Ill., High School with the class of 1926. She graduated from nursing school in Kankakee, Ill. She worked at Central Community Hospital in Chicago, Ill., where she was a night supervisor for 18 years. She had lived in Fairfield since 1964 and had lived with her daughter and family in Lockridge since 1997. She was a member of Rebeka Lodge No. 96 and a member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Sue Ann Diers and husband Leland of Lockridge; one son, Edgar Fry and wife Juanita of Sun City, Ariz; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Walter Gray; and one sister, Mable Pruett. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two children in infancy; three brothers, Bill, Edgar and John Gray; and one sister, Ann McDonald. on February 16, 2004.³
