     James L. Garrett Sr. James L. “Jim” Garrett, Sr., 85, of Circleville, passed away Friday, November 14, 2014 at his residence. He was born August 30, 1929 in Hocking County, the son of Nelson H. and Lucy E. (Wilkins) Garrett. He was preceded in death by his son, Bruce; his parents; sisters, Esther Gatrell, Cora Hart, Virginia Wiggins, Ruth Alkire, Gayle Stump Macklin and Edith Kneece; brothers, Ernest, Bob, Roy “Bud” and George Garrett. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Linda Huffer Garrett; children, Lloyd (Nina) Garrett, Cindy (Tom) Ratcliffe, Rick (Diane) Thompson, James (Debra) Garrett, Jr., Jeff Garrett, Jerry (Sherry) Garrett, Paul (Billie) Huffer, Joe (Heidi) Huffer and Josh (Cassie) Garrett; 25 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Kneece and Elsie Wiggins; sister-in-law, Pauline Garrett; very special niece, Rita (Daryl) Reichelderfer; and very special nephew, Dr. Doyne Wiggins. Jim retired from Container Corporation after 43 years of service. He was a member of the First Church of Christ in Christian Union on Ohio Street.      Paul Edwin Huffer was buried at Muhlenberg Township Cemetery, Darbyville, Pickaway Co., Ohio.4,3 His Social Security Number was 280-30-7424.5 He was born on October 22, 1937 at Pickaway Co., Ohio.4,5 He married Linda Kay Powers, daughter of Frederick Harold "Fred" Powers and Bulah Edith Simpkins, on April 4, 1964 at Columbus, Franklin Co., Ohio.1,4 Paul Edwin Huffer died on May 21, 1971 at Circleville, Pickaway Co., Ohio, at age 33.4,6 He Paul T. Huffer, 33, 1065 Sunshine St., was killed instantly 2:50 p.m. Friday when he hurled himself beneath the wheels of a Norfolk and Western freight train just north of the West Main Street crossing. Pickaway County coronor Dr. Ray Carroll ruled the death a suicide. The 111-car freight had stopped to check a hotbox and was just starting again. There were four witnesses according to Circleville Police. Born Oct. 22, 1937 in Pickaway County, he was the son of Clarence and Bessie King Huffer, 123 W. Corwin St. Both of his parents survive. In addition he is also survived by his widow, Linda Powers Huffer; two sons, Paul F. and Joseph, both of the home; three brothers, Bennie, 108 Parkview; Lloyd, Sunbury; Ronnie, Elm Ave; two sisters, Mrs. Roy Garrett, 544 E. Union St; Mrs. James Emerine 465 E. Main St. Burial will be in Darbyville Cemetery. on May 22, 1971.4
