     Bonnie Ann Showalter Bonnie Ann Showalter, 70, of Roanoke, died Friday, October 17, 2014, at Avante' of Roanoke Health and Rehab Center following a long illness. Bonnie was born in Roanoke March 2, 1944, and lived in the area all her life. She was the daughter of the late Ellis and Bernice Stebar Hall. Bonnie enjoyed drawing, vibrant colors, horses, costume jewelry, and music. She especially enjoyed Elvis, Everly Brothers, and Bob Dylan. In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her sister, Brenda Sue Showalter; and brother, Clyde Showalter, Jr. She is survived by a sister, Sherry Sowers, of Moneta; nieces, Theresa Sowers, of Stewartsville, Holly Alls, of Moneta, Summer Sowers, of Roanoke, and Megan Foley, of Goodview. Bonnie's family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff of Avante'. The care and love you gave was always appreciated. Bonnie was a true Christian and spoke of her Jesus in many of the family visits. Their smiles and laughter will be missed by all that had the privilege to know them. Shayna was a 2013 graduate of Staunton River High School and attended William Byrd High School until her sophomore year. She loved all her friends in both schools. She loved her art classes in both schools and all teachers she ever had. She was a great mother who loved her child dearly. She attended Ferrum College in the fall of 2013 for a short period of time only leaving because of her anxiety disorder getting the best of her and later to have her sweet baby girl, Kyra Amory Jarrett, who was her whole world. She had a great love for animals big and small. Shayna was preceded in death by her grandfather, Herbert Earthel Sowers, Jr. of Bedford; and grandfather, Leonard Woody Alls of Roanoke. She is survived by her mother, Holly Alls of Bedford; father, Jonathan Alls of Roanoke; brothers, Joshua Alls and Patrick Macklin of Bedford; sisters, Kaylee Alls of Roanoke and Sierra Sikes of Lynchburg; grandmothers, Sherry “Nana” Sowers of Bedford and Carolyn Alls of Roanoke; aunts, Terri Sowers, Summer Sowers, Megan Foley and husband, Dave Foley all of Bedford, and Courtney Danielle Alls of Stuart; special cousins, Skyler and Cadence Kemp and Sean and Sam Foley. Kyra is survived by her father, Bronson Jarrett of Forest; grandmothers, Holy Alls of Bedford and Amy Gray of Bedford; grandfathers, Russell Jarrett of Bedford and Jonathan Alls of Roanoke; uncles, Joshua Alls of Bedford, Patrick Macklin of Bedford, Derek Browning of Huddleston, Brian Gambler of Bedford; aunts, Kaylee Alls of Roanoke, Sierra Sikes of Lynchburg; great grandmothers, Sherry “Nana” Sowers and Carolyn Alls. They both had many very special friends and extended family that we would like to thank for all the support and love that has been shown.
