Greeting him in Heaven were his parents, Cleveland and Lindy (Clark) Weaver. Allie graduated from Andrew Lewis High School and attended National Business College. After serving his country during World War II on the USS Willard Keith (DD775), he worked for the VA Hospital where he retired in 1975. He was a devoted member and Sunday school teacher at West Salem Baptist Church. For the past 20 years, Allie was active in the Salem-Craig County Camp of Gideons International and for many years he faithfully served his Lord in the Salem Roanoke County Jail Ministry and the Roanoke City Rescue Mission Ministry. Surviving includes his faithful wife of 32 years, Audrey Gibson Weaver; sons, Barry (Holly) Parr, Salem, the Rev. Jerry (Liz) Parr, Bedford; and daughter, Susie (Dennis) Hall, Salem; six grandchildren, Lisa and Sarah Parr, Jacob and Nathan Parr, Angie (Harold) McDaniel, Nikki Hall; and two great-grandchildren, Brooke and Brittney McDaniel; also special friends, Randy and Pam Kingery. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. on December 20, 2001.⁵

He is survived by his wife, Marie; son, Jimmie and wife, Robyn; daughters, Wendy and Terri; stepchildren, Carol and Laurie; grandchildren, Zack, Devin, Jordie, and Jaret; brother, Bob; and sister, Audrey. He had the honor of serving his country as a Chief Radioman in the United States Navy, and later as Chief Information Technician Systems, U.S. Naval Reserve. He was an electronics technician for over 25 years at the GE/Ericsson plant in Lynchburg, Va. Jim was an Amateur Radio Operator since 1970, call sign WB4CPC. on July 5, 2012.¹
