     Melissa Jane Mabry was buried at Augusta Memorial Park, 1775 Goose Creek Road, Waynesboro, Augusta Co., Virginia.4,2 She Melissa Jane Lang, 56 of Afton passed away Sunday, November 6, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. Born January 8, 1960 in Atlanta, GA, she was the daughter of the late Hatley Armor and Eloise Melissa (Holt) Mabry. Melissa was a member of West Waynesboro Church of Christ. She was a Waynesboro High School graduate - Class of 1978. Following high school she attended Longwood University where she obtained an associate degree and then continued on to Virginia Wesleyan College where she received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. Melissa then enrolled at Mercer College where she had worked towards earning her degree as a Pharmacist but took time off from school to teach in the Chemistry Department at Blue Ridge Community College. She was employed by Wal-Mart where she worked as a Pharmacy Technician for 12 years. Mrs. Lang is survived by her loving husband, Randolph "Bucky" Lang; brother, Hatley "Greg" Mabry and wife, Barbara of Waynesboro; step-sons, Matthew Lang of Schuyler, Va and Eric Lang of Waynesboro; six step-grandchildren, Hunter, Maddie, Lila, Max, Lexi and Hannah Mae; two step great-grandchildren, Silas and Ransome; nephew, James Mabry and wife, Athena; nieces, Kimberly Hicks and husband, Neil and Jamie Heath and partner, Dawn. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Matthew Lang, Eric Lang, Marcos Perez, Manual Perez, David Thompson and Billy Craver.2 Her married name was Lang.2 She married Randolph Rea Lang Jr.2,5 Melissa Jane Mabry was born on January 8, 1960 at Atlanta, Fulton Co., Georgia.4,2 She died on November 6, 2016 at Afton, Nelson Co., Virginia, at age 56.4,2

     Randolph Rea Lang Jr. Randolph “Bucky” Rea Lang, Jr., 69, of Swannanoa, Afton, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at his home. He was born November 21, 1953 in Charlottesville, son of the late Randolph Rea Lang, Sr., and Sarah Bibb Lang. After graduating high school Bucky went to work for his father at Swannanoa Golf Course and subsequently became owner. A lifelong musician, he was a drummer, guitarist, bass player and singer with many bands in the area including: Soul Incorporated, Street Kid, Tank, Free Trog, Amber, Happy Feet, Lang Brothers Band and El Kabong. The family would like to thank all who have reached out to them in the past few days, sharing stories and their love of Bucky. Also a special thanks to Rob Otis and Moe Webb for providing a song for the graveside service. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Melissa Mabry Lang and step-brother, Wade Daves. Survivors include two sons, Matthew Lang and Eric (Jackie) Lang; eight grandchildren, Hannah, Madalyn, Lila, Hunter, Lexi, Max, Natalie and Noah; three great-grandchildren, Silas, Ransom and Theo Matthias; three sisters, Sharalyn (Russell) Midgett, Gayle (Jerry) Biggers and Donna Leigh (Delp) Givens and his step-sister, Mary Lang. Graveside services will be held at Augusta Memorial Park, Waynesboro. Active pallbearers will be Chad Wilfong, Robi Kline, James McLean, Larry “Tippy” Thompson, David Thompson and Sammy Dickey.3 He was buried at Augusta Memorial Park, 1775 Goose Creek Road, Waynesboro, Augusta Co., Virginia.1 He married Melissa Jane Mabry, daughter of Hatley Armor Mabry and Melissa Eloise Holt.2,3 Randolph Rea Lang Jr. was born on November 21, 1953 at Charlottesville, Virginia.1,3 He died on May 30, 2023 at Afton, Nelson Co., Virginia, at age 69.1,3
