Survivors include: daughters, Brenda Heflin, Sharon Monterroso; sister, Shirley (Charlie) Davis; brother, Randall "Bucky" Whitehead; brother-in-law, Bruce Lane; and sister-in-law, Nancy (Ronald) Cardwell; 6 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was a long-time resident of Rockford where he passed away suddenly at his home on Monday, December 18th. Bruce enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on old cars with his buddies Bill Gribble and Buck Whitehead. He never met a stranger, and it was well known that he would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Bruce retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company. His Greatest Love was his granddaughter Abbey, and if you knew him you knew that. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Mary Lee Lane, brother, Paul B. Lane Jr. of Rockford, and sister, Mary Sue Lane Whiteman of Maryville. He is survived by his daughter, Laura Lane Kolarik, son-in-law Tim, granddaughter ,Abbey, long-time significant other, Donna Bruce, sister, Nancy Cardwell (Ronald), brother-in-Law, Ray Whiteman, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins too many to list but he loved them all.¹ He married Diane Unknown.² Carl Bruce Lane was born on June 10, 1950 at Tennessee.¹ He died on December 18, 2023 at Rockford, Blount Co., Tennessee, at age 73.¹
