M. Walters, 125 Elm Ave. S.W., died at 3 p.m. yesterday from injuries received Monday afternoon when he was struck by a truck. The accident occurred at the corner of Franklin Rd. and First St. S.W. His death marked the second automobile fatality in Roanoke this year. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Police said the truck was driven by Edward N. Butt, 201 Front St., South Salem. Besides his parents, the youngster is survived by two brothers, Michael Walters and C. M. Walters Jr., and a sister, Mrs. Miriam Henson, all of Roanoke. on January 26, 1949.⁴

She is survived by her mother, Katherine Javins; children, Christopher Hines Sr. (Gail), Michael T. Hines (Sherri), and Laura H. Whitfield (Jay); grandchildren, Christopher Hines Jr., Charlie and Taylor Hines, Hunter, Savanna and Brooke Whitfield, James and Willie Brown, and Jimmy Henshaw; sisters, Laura Jones and Billie Mills; and nieces, nephews, and cousins. Interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery. on August 10, 2009.¹
