     Dean Wesley Overman Sr. was buried at Tyson's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Bear Creek, Chatham Co., North Carolina.² He married Nellie Gray, daughter of George Martin Gray and Lena Caroline Edwards.^1,2 Dean Wesley Overman Sr. was born on October 31, 1925 at Randolph Co., North Carolina.^3,2 He died on September 21, 2012 at Bear Creek, Chatham Co., North Carolina, at age 86.^2,3 He BEAR CREEK - Dean Wesley Overman, Sr., 86, of N.C. Hwy 902, Bear Creek, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2012 at his residence. Overman was born in Randolph County on Oct. 31, 1925 the son of John and Myrtle Alice (Hackney) Overman. He was a member of Tyson's Creek Baptist Church and a retired farmer. He is survived by his wife: Nellie (Gray) Overman; three daughters: Carol Tucker of Siler City, N.C., Judy Callicutt and husband, Johnny of Bear Creek, N.C., Kay Brown and husband, Mike of Siler City, N.C. and one son: Dean W. Overman, Jr. and wife, Toni of Pittsboro, N.C; two sisters: Hermis Overman of Staley, N.C., Mary Alice Williamson and husband, Weldon of Ramseur, N.C. and one brother: Leon Overman of Siler City, N.C; grandchildren, Angela Oldham and husband, Eric of Bennett, N.C., Adam Tucker and wife, Ginna of Pleasant Garden, N.C., Christopher Callicutt of Bear Creek, N.C., Wesley Brown and Hannah Brown of Siler City, N.C; great-grandson, Elijah Tucker of Pleasant Garden, N.C. The family will receive friends Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, N.C. The funeral will be Monday, Sept. 24, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Tyson's Creek Baptist Church, 10891 Siler City-Glendon Road, Bear Creek, N.C. with Rev. Scott Walker and Rev. Bob Wachs officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Liberty Health Care and Hospice, American Cancer Society or the Council on Aging in his memory. on September 23, 2012.²
