Mr. Turner Passed away Sunday, July 31, 2016, at his home. Mr. Turner was born in Coalwood, W.Va. on June 9, 1940. He came to Anniston in March 1960 with the Army at Ft. McClellan. He went to the chemical corps school, then to 66 CML Dept Co. 100 CML Group Ft. McClellan, Ala. Mr. Turner is survived by his two sons, Jack Scott Turner, of Anniston, Shane Allen Turner and his wife Sandra, of Lincoln; step-son, Patrick Pilkington; and granddaughters, Taylor Shaye Turner, Ava Jane and Hayden Pilkingon. Mr. Turner is preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Evelyn M. Ingram Turner; his father, Guy V. Turner, of Bluefield, W. and mother Edna M. Turner, of Iager, W. and brother Johnny W. Turner of Ozark. Mr. Turner was a member of West Park Heights Baptist Church and was ordained in 1975 as a deacon at Wayside Baptist Church. Mr. Turner was a member of Masonic Lodge 931 in Anniston, a member of Sons of Confederate Veterans, and a life member of Disabled American Veterans of Anniston. on August 2, 2016.2

Turner, 73, of Anniston, will be Saturday, August 11, 2012. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. Mrs. Turner died Tuesday at RMC. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Jack S. Turner, of Anniston; two sons, Scott Turner, of Anniston and Shane Turner (Sandra), of Lincoln; two grandchildren, Taylor Shaye Turner and Patrick Pilkington; one great-grandchild, Hayden Pilkington; two sisters, Dorothy Muncher and Jane Sparks, both of Anniston; one brother, James L. Ingram. Mrs. Turner is preceded in death by her parents, John Ingram Jr. and Sarah Ingram. Pallbearers will be Jeff Woodard, Greff Cupp, Brian Williams, Patrick Pilkington, Jason McCullough and Tommy Grammer. Mrs. Turner was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County and a member of West Park Heights Baptist Church and a member of the Confederate Rose. Mrs. Turner was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother. Evelyn kept her faith and now she resides in the house of the Lord. on August 10, 2012.3

Martha Louise Grissom Martha Louise Grissom Robinson, 84, of Great Mills, MD passed away on July 15, 2020 at MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital in Leonardtown, MD. She was born on June 2, 1936 in Bluefield, WV to the late Harry Lee Grissom and Velma Louise Carter. Certified by the American College of Radiology and The American Society of X-Ray Technicians in1962, she began her career as an X-Ray Technician for the Williamsburg Community Hospital in Williamsburg, Virginia. After more than a decade as a radiologist, her interest in Virginia history redirected her career and she became an Interpreter then Hostess for The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation which she enjoyed for many years. In 1986 she returned to her love of medicine, completing the coursework from Mount Senario College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to become a Medical Assistant. She finished her working career spending 14 years with Federated Realty in Brookfield, Wisconsin as a dedicated Real Estate Agent. Martha came to love football later in life and as one of many Green Bay Packer fans, never missed a single game leaving behind a mountain of Packer memorabilia spanning 20 years. Martha is survived by her children, Mary Martha Martin and James Gregory Martin, her grandchildren: Adam Michael Brown, Patrick James Bryan Gilboy, Miranda Marie Davis (Allan), Jocelyn Rae Ludeman (Sean) and Noalyn Lawrence Martin (Jasmine); eight great grandchildren; and extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her first husband, Lawrence H. Martin Jr. and her second husband, Brian A. Robinson.2 She was born on June 2, 1936 at Bluefield, Mercer Co., West Virginia.1,2 As of May 11, 1957,her married name was Turner.1 She married Johnny William Turner, son of Guy Virgil Turner and Edna Mae "Peg" Parker, on May 11, 1957 at Russell Co., Virginia.1 Martha Louise Grissom died on July 15, 2020 at Leonardtown, St. Mary's Co., Maryland, at age 84.2
