Surviving are a husband, Paul; three sons, Paul Jr. of Liverpool and David and Jonathan of Lakeland; a daughter, Cassandra Ternosky of Solvay; her parents, Raymond and Erma Paxton of Ransom, Ill; a sister, Debbie Keesee of Ransom; a brother, Ray Paxton Jr. of Clinton, Ill; her paternal grandmother, Macel Hull of Charleston, W.V; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. The burial was private. Contributions may be made to the Solvay High School SADD chapter. on October 27, 1996.5

He was preceded in death by his father. Born and raised in Streator, he attended St. Stephen's Grade School and Woodland High School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and later in the Army Reserves. He owned and operated Bootlegger's Tavern in Streator for several years.
