William Bee Elmore was buried at Resthaven Memorial Park, 1917 West Main Street, Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.3 He was born on November 21, 1876 at Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.5,3,4 He married Theodocia Imojeanne "Docia" Palmer on July 4, 1900 at Mercer Co., West Virginia.2,6 William Bee Elmore died on June 28, 1949 at Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia, at age 72.3,4 He William Bee Elmore, 72, of near Oakvale, died suddenly yesterday evening at 7:30 o’clock at Memorial hospital, Princeton. Mr. Elmore was a well-known pioneer farmer of this section. He spent his entire life in this area and was well known. He was born November 21, 1876, near Princeton, the son of the late S. W. and Phoebe Taylor Elmore. Mr. Elmore's wife preceded him in death in 1940. He is survived by the following children: Mrs. Billie Whittaker of near Oakvale; Mrs. Tony Swim of Princeton; Mrs. C. A. White of Northfork; Mrs. George Goin of Bramwell; Wade Lee Elmore of Oakvale; and Clarence H. and Joe Elmore, both of Bluefield. Mr. Elmore is also survived by the following the following brothers and sisters: George Elmore, Grover Elmore and Bert Elmore all of Princeton; Wade Elmore of Oakvale; and Mrs. B. F. Palmer of Hinton. The deceased was a member of the Mt. Horeb Methodist church and the IOOF. Mr. Elmore’s death cane unexpectedly. He had read the afternoon paper just prior to being rushed to the hospital where he died shortly after arival. on June 29, 1949.4

Pendleton of Princeton, died Thursday in Memorial Hospital after an illness of three weeks. She was a native and life long resident of Princeton, daughter of the late Ballard and Alice Taylor Elmore. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. William Deip of Bluefield, Va., and Mrs. Dale Wade of Marmet; two sons, Clyde and William Pendleton of Princeton; four sisters, Mrs. J. H. Hedrick of Princeton, Mrs. A. A. Oney of Charleston, Mrs. Clarence Swim of Princeton, and Mrs. Thomas Hedrick of Athens; five brothers, Irvin, Roy, Dale, Bernard, and Clarence C. Elmore of Princeton; nine grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Pallbearers: T. R. Jewell, Mack Swim, H. J. Thompson, Tate Lohr, Max Greer, and J. M. Okes. Members of the Rosemary Huff Group of the church will carry flowers. on January 13, 1961.5

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence T. Swim; two sons, Hubert Swim and an infant boy Swim; and 11 brothers and sisters. Survivors include one son, C.T. Swim Jr. of Princeton; two daughters, Vera Cruise of Charleston, and Virginia Hammes of Gaithersburg, Md; daughter-in-law, Betty J. Swim; son-in-law, L. K. Cruise Jr; seven grandchildren, Jean Wills and husband Mike, Ed Swim and wife Cindy, Donald Swim and wife April, Ernest Taylor and wife Veronica, Wayne Hammes and wife Susan, Marsha Lightner and husband Tom, Peggy Roatsey and husband Terry; 12 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; special friend and caregiver, Shirley Broyles; and several nieces and nephews. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens on Courthouse Road, Princeton. Pallbearers will be Paul Powell, Jeff Poff, Robbie Ruble, Robert “Bob” Ruble, Wade Caldwell and Rod Runion. on April 21, 1999.6

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Clayton Hedrick; four sons, Buford, Dale, L.A. and Billy Ray Hedrick; a daughter, Inez Virginia Hedrick, three grandchildren and 10 brothers and sisters. Survivors: one son, Fred H. Hedrick of New Castle, Del; seven daughters, Thelma Richardson and her husband C. D. of Princeton; Ethel Oxley and her husband Bennie, and Martha Redden, all of Athens, Norma Gunter and her husband Stanley of the Bethel Road, Nancy Rice and her husband Ivan of Mooresville, N.C., Ruth Porter and her husband Mike of Glenwood Park, Grace Watts and her husband Tommy of Manassas, Va; one sister, Nellie Swim of Princeton; 33 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park Cem etery in Princeton. Elmore, both of Staunton, and Donna Elmore of Salisbury, Md; two sisters, Viola Hedrick and Nellie Swim, both of Princeton. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Pendleton of Princeton; four nieces and five nephews. Burial will be in Oakwood Park Cemetery in Princeton. Born January 6, 1917 in Princeton she was the daughter of the late Edward Summers Pendleton and Bertha Bee Elmore Pendleton. She was a member of the St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Charleston, WV. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Emmitt Dale Wade; four brothers, Arnold Pendleton, Junior Pendleton, Clyde Pendleton, and William D. "Billy" Pendleton; and one sister, Hallie P. Delp. Survivors include two sons, Donald D. Wade and wife Emilie Apple Wade of Dacula, GA and Robert E. Wade and wife Sheila Boggess Wade of Charleston, WV; one daughter, Carolyn W. Townsley and husband Harry "Tee" Townsley of Springfield, VA; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Graveside services will be at Oakwood Park Cemetery in Princeton with Rev. Donald D.
