His last position was Assistant District Engineer in charge of Tunnels and Toll Facilities in Hampton Roads. Rawley maintained his keen intellect, sharp wit and sense of humor up until the very end. He was a voracious reader, a first-rate mechanic and an encyclopedia of automotive knowledge, but most important of alL he was a devoted, committed, loving husband and father who believed in, and lived, trying to do the right thing in every aspect of his life.
