Caroline Louise Robinette Carolyn Louise "Carn" Polk, age 73, of Prestonsburg, KY wife of Randy Polk, died Friday, January 1, 2021 in the Baptist Health, Lexington, KY. She was born March 31, 1947 in Princeton, WV a daughter of the late Randolph Straley and Ina Louise Hedrick Robinette. Carolyn was a Secretary for the First Baptist Church, Prestonsburg, for many years and was a member of the Pleasant Home Baptist Church, Prestonsburg. In addition to her husband she is survived by one son, Dallas Grayson (Judy) Polk, Lexington, KY, one daughter; Randi Lynn (Ahmed Keita) Polk, Richmond, KY, one sister; Randa Jones, New York, NY, and three grandchildren; Carolyn Taylor Polk, Ryan Dallas Polk and Benjamin Keita. Entombment will follow in the Gethsemane Gardens, Prestonsburg.2 She was buried at Gethsemane Gardens, Prestonsburg, Floyd Co., Kentucky.2 Her married name was Polk.2 She married Randy Polk.2 Caroline Louise Robinette was born on March 31, 1947 at Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.2 She died on January 1, 2021 at Lexington, Fayette Co., Kentucky, at age 73.2

She was a member of the First Christian Church of Princeton and was a retired employee of the Majestic Steam laundry of Princeton. She was preceded in death by her husband. Survivors include two sons, Tommy Woodrow and Walter “Bud” Elmore, both of Princeton; three daughters, Mrs. John D. (Mickey) Johnston and Mrs. Helen Worell, both of Princeton, and Mrs. William G. (Lois) Damron of Virginia Beach, Va; two sisters, Mrs. H. A. (Flora) Brewster and Mrs. Guy (Eola) Miller, both of Princeton; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Entombment will be in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Pallbearers: Russell Hutchins, Norman Bragg, Vessie Shrewsbury, Everett Cahill, Mason Murphy, Pete DeLung, Bob Whittaker, Bruce Blankenship. on December 2, 1982.2

Tommy Elmore, 66, of Pisgah Road, Princeton, was dead on arrival at Princeton Community Hospital after the 10 a.m. mishap. He was transported by an OH-9 ambulance. State Police Trooper Sam Pennington said the roll of hay “fell some distance” as Elmore was operating the tractor to feed cattle. Assisting Pennington in the investigation was Corporal P. E. Wriston. Born in Princeton, Elmore was a retired Norfolk & Western Railway engineer. He was a member of Johnston Chapel Baptist Church, Princeton. Survivors: wife, Mrs. Helen Cahill Elmore; son, Robert Loy Elmore of Roanoke, Va; daughter, Mrs. Richard R. (Sarah Lane) Barnett of Albemarle, N.C; sisters, Mrs. John D. (Helen) Johnston and Mrs. Helen Worrell of Princeton, Mrs. Bill Dameron of Virginia Beach, Va; brother, Walter H. Elmore of Princeton; two granddaughters, Susan Barnett and Angelo Elmore. Burial at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton. on January 13, 1985.3
