He was also preceded in death by four brothers: Lloyd, Ray "Til", Hubert, Garland "Tump" Hutchinson; and one sister, Janie Paxton. He is survived by his wife, Nell and son, Terry; several nieces and nephews. Willie served in the Army during the Korean War, and was a lifetime member of VFW Post 4491, New Castle. He retired from Associated Transport and later retired from VDOT. He also leaves one brother, Willie and wife, Nellie; three sister-in-laws, Claudine, Ruth, and Gloria Hutchison; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews; special cousin Frances Hutchison; and a special friend, Leah Murray. Garland was a faithful member of First Baptist Church for over 50 years. He loved the Lord and he loved working with the kids in Vacation Bible School and loved teaching his Adult Sunday School Class. The family would like to give special thanks to Gentiva Home Care ladies and to the Good Samaritan Hospice, especially Nurse Mary Evans. Interment will follow at Huffman Memorial Park. on May 11, 2015.⁶
