Gammon from October 1949 until his passing in 2012. They raised three children: Luther T. Gammon Jr. 1950 - 1985, Steve Gammon b. 1956 of MO, Donna (Gammon) Bax 1958 – 2013. She is survived by her son Steve and five grandchildren: Crystal (Bax) Amend of GA, Jenn Bax of MO, Tim Bax of MI, Nathan Gammon of KS, and Lauren Gammon of KS. She also leaves behind many great-grandchildren in GA and MI. Jeanette served as a military spouse for 21 years. She worked at Kmart and Laverne’s Family Restaurant in Battle Creek MI, and Shoneys in Ellenton FL. She was a leader in her Gideon chapters in Battle Creek South in Battle Creek MI, Manatee East in Ellenton FL, and Gwinnett East in Lawrenceville GA.      Jack Dempsey Bryant Jack D. “Coach” Bryant, 87, of Dry Fork, Va., passed away Sunday, March 14, 2021 at his residence with his loving family at his side. Mr. Bryant was born February 27, 1934 in Gretna, Va. to the late R. Jackson Bryant and the late Ruth Shields Bryant. He was married to Jean Morrow Bryant, who survives, of the residence. Mr. Bryant proudly served in the United States Army from 1957-1959. He earned his BA in Education from Wake Forest University and his Masters of Education from the University of Virginia. He played second base for Wake Forest and was a member of the 1955 National Championship team. For many years he held the record for doubles recorded in a College World Series game and for the series. Jack also played professional baseball for the Chicago Cubs. After his playing days he worked at Whitmell High School and then finished his career at Tunstall High School. During his career as an educator, he was a Teacher, a Guidance Counselor, and a very successful Baseball Coach. Jack was a very dedicated and loving man, and he will be missed by all who knew him, especially his dear family. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Barry Bryant and Bobby Bryant and his wife Susan; twin grandchildren, granddaughter, Jaki Bryant and grandson, Jordan Bryant. Jack was also predeceased by his daughter-in-law, Denise Bryant; and a brother, Wayne Bryant. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Danville Memorial Gardens with Pastor Jeff Woods officiating.2 He was buried at Danville Memorial Gardens, Danville, Virginia.2 He married Sara Ivagene "Jean" Morrow.2 Jack Dempsey Bryant was born on February 27, 1934 at Gretna, Pittsylvania Co., Virginia.2,3,4 He died on March 14, 2021 at Dry Fork, Pittsylvania Co., Virginia, at age 87.2

Born October 4, 1961 in Danville, she was the daughter of the late James “Red” Francis and Doris Rowland Francis. Denise was raised and lived in Danville all her life where she meet and married Barry W. Bryant, on May 28, 1983. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a brother, Kenneth James Francis of Danville and his wife Patricia and their children Ryan Francis and Emily Neely, their spouses, and children. Niece Melissa D. Hairston of High Point, NC., and her daughter Olivia Tucker. Parents-in-law Jack and Jean Bryant of Danville, and Brother-in-law Bobby Bryant, his wife and their two children. Special mention to cousin Jerry Rowland, his wife Lisa, and daughter Brandy for all their support; a well as Cousin Faye Emerson and her daughter Dana Shively who assisted with day-to-day caregiving in the home over the past few months.      Charles Owen Moser Sr. Charles Owen Moser Sr., 95 of Lynchburg, died Friday March 6, 2015 at Virginia Baptist Hospital. He was the husband of Helen Hill Moser for 68 years. Born in Lynchburg, June 24, 1919, he was a son of the late Luther Oliver Moser Sr. and Hettie Yeatts Moser. He graduated from E.C. Glass High School, attended Hampden-Sydney College and left to go in the U.S. Air Force. He was the owner of Moser Marine and Moser Fine Furniture, a member of the Civitan Group, past president of The Southwest Virginia Boat Dealers Association and a member of Rivermont Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Mr. Moser was preceded in death by one brother, Van Y. Moser and one sister, Ruth Comstock. In addition to his wife he is survived by three sons; Chip Moser of Elon, Stoney Moser and his wife Joyce of Deltaville, David Moser and his wife Joan of Lynchburg; one brother, Luther Moser Jr., of Elon; four grandchildren, Josh Moser and his wife Erin, Whet Moser and his wife Liz Matt Moser, Allison Moser Magann and her husband Chad; and three great-grandchildren Chase Moser, Jordyn Moser and Virginia Moser.      Lena India Hodges was buried at Chatham Burial Park, 111 Whitehead Street, Chatham, Pittsylvania Co., Virginia.2 She was born on November 16, 1889 at Virginia; Her death certificate has a birth date of Nov 17, 1889.2,3 As of December 15, 1909,her married name was Yeatts.1 She married John Richard Yeatts, son of Willis J. Yeatts and Lucy Ann Owen, on December 15, 1909 at Pittsylvania Co., Virginia.1 Lena India Hodges Word was received today of the death in Fredericksburg of Mrs. Lena H. Yeatts, member of the faculty of Bellevue school. Mrs. Yeatts passed away this morning at 2 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Horton Van Denburg, whom she was visiting for the Christmas holidays. She contracted pneumonia last Thursday and her condition became gradually worse. Mrs. Yeatts, who had been teaching here for the past nineteen years, was a native of Pittsylvania county. She is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Herman Turner, of Martinsville. The remains will be brought to Danville tomorrow and taken to Townes Funeral Home. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Jefferson Avenue Christian Church, the services to be conducted by the pastor, Rev. C. Arthur Burton. Place of interment had not been decided early this afternoon. on January 6, 1938.4 She died on January 6, 1938 at Fredericksburg, Virginia, at age 48.2,3,4
