The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday at the Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg, Va. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at the Cross Road Christian Church, Craig County, conducted by the Rev. James Bradley with burial in the Church Cemetery. on May 18, 2009.³

He is preceded in death by his mom and dad Roxie and Paul Blevins. He is survived by his brothers and sister-in-laws, Michael and wife Reba Blevins, Danny and wife Carolyn Blevins, and Robert and wife Ok Chu Blevins. James proudly served in the Untied States Army. He also retired from Radford University as a maintenance supervisor.
