     John Michael Hedrick John Michael (Mike) Hedrick, 66, of Lynchburg passed away on Friday, October 29, 2021 at Lynchburg General Hospital. Born on May 27, 1955, in Lynchburg, VA, Mike was a son of Janis M. Hedrick and the late John William Hedrick. He proudly served in the US Marine Corp. He was an avid bowler, car enthusiast and loved playing a game of "cornhole". He leaves behind a loving wife of 43 years, Sharon R. Hedrick, two sons Robert Michael Hedrick and Christopher Scott Hedrick (Brittany). In addition, he is survived by two brothers and one sister Wendell (Moose) Hedrick (Angie), Brenda Meeks (Phillip) and Tim Hedrick. He was also a loving Papa to his grandchildren Weston, Mason, Addie, Jax, Avery (Ramsey), Brantley and Griffin Hedrick. He is survived by numerous nieces/nephews and preceded in death by his nephew Jason G. Meeks. He was an employee of WestRock for 40 years. She was born in Pittsylvania County on December 14, 1934, a daughter of the late Laura and Smith Hedrick. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Willie H. Wray; sons, Donald, Lawrence and Jeffrey Shelton; a sister, Margie Moore and brother Garland Hedrick. Catherine retired from the furniture industry locally after working for many years and attended the Martinsville Church of Truth. She enjoyed doing yard work, working with her flowers, reading, traveling, she loved animals and most especially she loved her grandchildren. Surviving are two daughters, Judy Young of Henry, Shirley Campbell of Burlington, N.C; two sons, Rex Shelton of Greenville, Tenn., Tommy Shelton of Bassett; two sisters, Mary Ann Barbour of Lynchburg, Shirley Shelton of Eden, N.C; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and special friends, Louise, Beulah, Judy and Bill.      Shirley Ann Hedrick Shirley Ann Hedrick Shelton, 84, of Eden passed away on Tuesday morning, June 1, 2021 at her residence. A graveside service will be held at 1 pm Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Ridge-View Memorial Gardens. Shirley was born in Pittsylvania County, Virginia on August 3, 1936, a daughter of Smith Hedrick and Laura Bowen Hedrick, both deceased. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Shelton; her daughter, Paula Rowe and her granddaughter, Laura Light. Shirley is survived by her daughters, Virginia Cochran of Reidsville, Angela Ayers and husband Arty of Eden, April Light and husband Joey of Ruffin; her sister, Mary Ann Barbour and husband J.W. of Wadesboro; her grandchildren, Melissa Walker, Amanda Price, Beau Ayers; and her great grandchildren, Alexis Hall, Keenan Thornton, Hayden Light, Riley Dela Cruz and Christian Dela Cruz.² She was buried at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens, Eden, Rockingham Co., North Carolina.² Her married name was Shelton.² She married Marvin Ray Shelton.^2,3 Shirley Ann Hedrick was born on August 3, 1936 at Pittsylvania Co., Virginia.^2,5 She died on June 1, 2021 at Eden, Rockingham Co., North Carolina, at age 84.²

Chatham, entered into rest on April 4, 2015 at his residence. He was born on August 9, 1921, in Pittsylvania County, the son of the late James Moore and the late Mary Susie Toler Moore. He was married to the late Margie Hedrick Moore. Raleigh was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed. He retired from Southside Manufacturing. He enjoyed farming and loved to fish and hunt. He is survived by his sons, Larry "Billy" Moore and his wife Margaret of Climax and Lindsay "Ricky" Moore and his wife Patsy of Gretna; daughters, Nancy Hollingsworth and her husband Paul of Climax and Betty Adkins and her husband Jerry of Chatham; a brother, Clyde Moore and his wife Georgie of Climax; ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by brothers, Johnny Moore, Robert Moore, Clevie Moore, and Dempsey Moore; a sister, Blanche Moore; and a great-great granddaughter. He attended Martinsville Church of Truth. He worked for Ridgeway Clock for 17 years and was in the Army Reserves for 13 years.
