In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Edith Powell Willoughby; and two brothers, Henry Louis Powell and William Andrew Powell Jr. Burial followed in Briarwood Memorial Gardens. The family received friends at the funeral home Dec. 17. She was honored by pallbearers Joel Duncan, Keath McKinney, George Parrish, Greg Pingley, Jimmy Martin Jr., Jared Pingley and Logan Pingley. on December 22, 2010.4

She was born in Gretna, VA on April 8, 1930, the daughter of the late Jimmy Yeatts and Bessie Worsham Yeatts. Cecile was married for 61 years to Jesse M. Hutcherson, Jr. who predeceased her on July 2, 2012. During her later years she operated Cecile's Ceramics specializing in handmade roses. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Robertson Bennett Chapter #70 Order of the Eastern Star, where she was organist. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Frances Hutcherson Grant, and three brothers. She is survived by a son, Jesse M. "Marty" Hutcherson, III of Eugene, Oregon. She was first married to Ramsey Yeatts. His two children became her children at their marriage and they had four additional children. Ramsey predeceased her in 1960. In 1971, she married Dan Edward Love, who predeceased her in 1996. Born May 18, 1929, in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Charles Tillman Willis and Roberta Creasy Willis. She was predeceased by her sons, Pete Yeatts, Aubrey Yeatts, and Darrell Yeatts, and two grandchildren. She was a member of Gretna Christian Church and served in many capacities of love through her church, Christian Women's Fellowship, choir, administrative board and was always there to give encouragement and love to her church family. Her strong Christian faith and dedication to Christ's love was reflected in her constant prayer that all of her family including her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren would come to love Jesus Christ as their Savior. She also visited and cared for the patients at the Gretna Health and Rehab Center in Gretna each day until her illness. So many of the patients became her dear friends and she loved visiting the Rehab Center. She also enjoyed attending church, reading her Bible and having her family visit. She was a mother first and always, only beginning employment at the death of her husband Ramsey. She worked in the Gretna High cafeteria where she could be at home with her children when they were not in school. She later worked at the Lane Company. Upon her marriage to Dan, she began working in the meat department of the family supermarket, Love's Supermarket in Gretna. Mrs. Love is survived by two sons, Charlie Alfred Yeatts of Gretna; and Garnett Yeatts and his wife, Judy of Gretna; one daughter, Jeanette Wood and her husband, Richard of Chatham; one sister, Violet Tuck of Gretna; two daughters-in-law that she claimed as daughters, Katie Yeatts of Gretna and Joan Yeatts of Gretna; ten grandchildren, Debbie Ingram, Ramsey Yeatts, Greg Yeatts, Garnett Yeatts, Jr., Brian Yeatts, Jay Blair, Kera Meadows, Sarah Chisman, Jared Blair, and Brandon Yeatts who were always the love of her life on this earth. She and husband Dan had many joyful and blessed moments with this generation of her family who have remained faithful with her throughout her life and the last seven months of illness. She also leaves 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Burial will follow in Gretna Burial Park. on January 25, 2013.2

A. W. Connley. Interment followed in the family cemetery near Gretna. Mrs. Yeatts, 24-year old wife of C. R. Yeatts died at her home late Thursday evening. She was a native of Pittsylvania county and a member of Morgan's Baptist church near Moneta. She is survived by her husband, two small children, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Haymes, of Davis Mills. Three sisters, Misses Frances and Sallie Mae Haymes, of Davis Mills, Mrs. W. T. Marshall, of Sycamore; three brothers, A. L. Haymes Jr., Westley, and Parrish Haymes, of Davis Mills also survive on April 8, 1939.3

Charlie Alfred Yeatts Charlie Alfred Yeatts, age 84 of Gretna died Monday, November 2, 2020 at Gretna Health and Rehab Center. Born April 12, 1936, in Bedford County, he was a son of the late Charlie Ramsey Yeatts and Elizabeth Haymes Yeatts. He was predeceased by four brothers, Bennett "Pete" Yeatts, Aubrey Yeatts, Darrell Yeatts, and Garnett Yeatts; his mother, Edna Willis Love; his step-father, Dan Love; and a sister-in-law, Katie Yeatts. Mr. Yeatts was an Air Force Veteran and a retired nurse practitioner. He was a member of Anderson Memorial United Methodist Church and he also attended Gretna Christian Church. He was an avid cat lover; and he enjoyed cooking, and playing the organ. He is survived by one sister, Jeanette Wood of Chatham; two sisters-in-law, Joan Yeatts of Gretna, and Judy Yeatts of Gretna; and many other family members who loved and admired him. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at Gretna Burial Park by Rev. Douglas Gunsalus. Burial with Military Honors by American Legion Altavista Post 36 and Gretna Post 232.1 He was buried at Gretna Burial Park, Gretna, Pittsylvania Co., Virginia.1 He was born on April 12, 1936 at Bedford Co., Virginia.1,3 He died on November 2, 2020 at Gretna, Pittsylvania Co., Virginia, at age 84.1
