Richard Blair Anderson Jr. DANVILLE - Richard Blair Anderson Jr., 49, of 145 Kenilworth Avenue, died unexpectedly on Monday, August 14, 2006. Born June 7, 1957, in Philadelphia, Pa., he was the son of the late Richard B. Anderson Sr. and Edythe Dilg Anderson. He graduated from George Washington High School. He worked at Western Sizzling Steakhouse. He was a member of and wrote press releases for the George Washington Band Boosters, the Scottish Society, and the Genealogical Society of Danville. He was a member of Mount Vernon United Methodist Church. He is survived by a sister, Carolyn Anne Sinn, as well as several uncles, nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 16 at Highland Burial Park with the Rev. Mozelle was born May 25, 1919 in Nash County, NC. She was the 6th child born to William Clifton Pernell and Ella Lenora Hamlet. Mozelle received her Bachelors Degree from East Carolina Teachers College and taught there briefly. She married William Sidney Yeatts and had two sons. Mozelle along with her new family moved to Coral Gables when her husband was stationed at the Coast Guard base in Coconut Grove. As her sons got older she went back to teaching in the local elementary schools. In 1950 Mozelle went on to get her Masters Degree from the University of Miami. As a principal she opened Flamingo Elementary and later Snapper Creek Elementary and retired from Flagamigo Elementary after spending 38 years in education. Upon retiring she then built her dream home outside Clewiston in an area called Henry Isle Estates. She lived there 20 years before moving to Epworth Village in Hialeah to be closer to her sons and grandchildren. Mozelle was preced in in death by her husbands, William Sidney Yeatts, 1966 and Louis Charles McGrady, 1976 and by her siblings, Jasper Pernell; sisters, Iola Pernell Bullock, Rosella Pernell Aldridge, and Mamie Pernell Parish. She is survived by her two sons and their families, William Robert Yeatts wife Brenda Patton of Miami and James D. Yeatts and wife Karol Wolfe Yeatts of Miramar. Her grandchildren, Terace Yeatts of New York, Amy Yeatts, Kara Yeatts, Christopher Yeatts and Patricia Yeatts, all of Kendall. Also survived by her brother, Aubrey Pernell and his wife, Alta of Shelby, NC; sister, Anne Morris Pernell Long of Durham, NC. Also families of the Pernells, Parrishs, Bullocks, Aldridges, Longs, Yeatts, Andersons, Hardys, Drews, Clodfelters and the McGradys. on September 12, 2002.1
