Also surviving are her mother-in-law, Mary Kelch of Roanoke; brothers and sisters-in-law, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church of Roanoke, and a member of Salem Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, #161. Although her life on earth was brief, comfort may be found in Jesus' words to Martha at the death of her brother, “I am the resurrection and the life; he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live. And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die." She has gone on to join those before her, just as we shall follow her some day to our eternal home. Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. on May 12, 1998.2
