He is survived by one son — Russell with whom he lived. He also leaves a sister, a brother and several nephews and nieces. The funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 10:30 o’clock at the Friends church in Shirley and burial was made at the Harlan cemetery. on February 17, 1922.4

Farlow, a former resident and farmer in the Shirley community was killed early this week in Florida, according to word which friends here have received. Farlow had been living in Tampa, Fla. for the past several months selling his interest of farming implements and cattle at public sale in this community. The officer who investigated the accident said that a car driven by Charles Bexley rammed into a car being driven by Farlow. Farlow's car was thrown 75 feet by the impact. Three persons in the Bexley car were treated for injuries. Both cars were a total loss. After leaving the Shirley community Farlow purchased an interest in a tavern in Florida but at the time of his death he was working as a helper on a Lake Magdalene turkey ranch. on January 5, 1954.5

He was 90. Jack was born Aug. 16, 1930, on the family farm north of Shirley to Nellie Hazel (Elliott) Miller and John Franklin Miller. He lived just north of Shirley his entire life. Jack, who retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors in 1984 with 30 years of service, loved attending the Shirley Christian Church. In addition, he worked on the family farm, enjoyed volunteering as an EMT with Estell Ambulance Service and being a part of the Shirley Civil Defense unit, and was an antique vehicle enthusiast. Survivors are Jack's two daughters, Linda (Rob) Nelson of Indianapolis, and Brenda (Mitch) Spencer of Carmel; grandson, Craig Spencer of Oakland, California; as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents and infant brother, Charles, Jack was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Betty Irene (Wisehart) Miller, in 2017. The family has requested only fully-vaccinated guests attend services. Burial will follow in McCray Cemetery. on June 5, 2021.4

One year after graduating from Wilkinson High School, Betty married John "Jack" Elliott Miller, the love of her life, on Feb. 3, 1951. Betty was employed at Western Electric in Indianapolis and Delco Remy Division of General Motors (GM) in Anderson and retired from GM in 1984, after thirty years of service. Betty's greatest honor was raising her two daughters, Linda (Rob) Nelson of Indianapolis and Brenda (Mitchell) Spencer of Carmel. She also cherished her role as grandmother to Craig Spencer, of Oakland, California. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, and her six siblings, Eugene "Gene" Wisehart, Richard "Dick" Wisehart, Byron "Barney" Wisehart, Robert "Bob" Wisehart, Gerald Wisehart and Linda "Linda Lou" (Wisehart) Cole. In addition to her husband, Jack, Betty is survived by her daughters; her grandson; and her nieces and nephews. Burial will follow in McCray Cemetery. on November 25, 2017.3

He was born in Elmhurst, IL on February 18, 1929, the son of the late Walter and Marguarite (Dawson) Reed. Bob graduated from York High School and later married Julia A. Paulick in Villa Park, IL on August 17, 1956. Bob served in the National Guard for nine years. Over the years, Bob has worked at Amphenol Borg Corp., owned his own camera repair business, OMC, and retired from UW Whitewater in 1994 as an electronic engineer. Bob was a man of many talents. He could fix and design almost anything with electronics. He was also quite the handyman and proficient at woodworking. He enjoyed going to collectable shows and travelling through out the United States, with his most memorable trip to Alaska. He is survived by his wife: Julia; and four children: Gregg (Julie) Reed of Gray, GA, Gail (Randi) Evans of Poneto, IN, Geri (Tim) Kubatzke of Orangeville, IL, and Glen (Devon) Reed of Delavan, WI; and his grandchildren who he was very proud of: Christopher (Patricia), Jordan (Diedre), Melissa (Chad), Ben, Ashley, Kyle (Cheyanne), Riley, Robert, Amber and Seth; four great-grandchildren; and his brother: John Reed of Jeffersonton, VA. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother: Walter, Jr. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.6 He was buried at Oak Hill Cemetery, 1725 North Washington Street, Janesville, Rock Co., Wisconsin.6 He was born on February 18, 1929 at Elmhurst, DuPage Co., Illinois.4,6 He married Julia A. Brian loved the outdoors and nature, walking in the woods and going for hikes, and fishing. He was personable and had a life-long curiosity of history, especially his surroundings in Milford. Survivors include: his mother, Barbara O. Reed of Avon, CT; a loving former wife Deborah Reed of Milford, and their son’s Daniel Reed of Milford and Robert Lugaresi of Oakville, CT; a brother Walter H. Reed III and his wife Melody MacGinnis Reed of Chester, VT; a sister, Nancy Reed of Avon, CT; two uncles John Reed of Virginia and Robert Reed and his wife Julie Reed of IL; nieces Chelsea Clark of Fairfax, VT, and Charity Clark and husband Robert Lietar of Williston, VT; a nephew Keegan Reed and wife Nicole Driscoll of Burlington, VT; a nephew Adam Hansen and wife Alesha Hansen of Gypsum, Colorado; niece Jennifer Bailey and husband Tom Bailey of Mankato, MN; several cousins, grand nieces and nephews.
