(Joe) Sallot of Huntertown; son, Kenneth (Lynne) Morris of Hickory, N.C; grandchildren, Todd (Kelli) Muehlmeyer, Charles Bartholomew, Christopher Bartholomew, Curtis Bartholomew, Chadd Bartholomew, Keith E. (Jen) Rice, William E. (Anna) Rice, Brian E. (Tammy) Rice, Krista Dittmann, Lisa (David) Kruse and Jayme (Angelos) Linton; great-grandchildren, Morgan, Jordan, Reanna, Rilei, Annie, Jacob, Josuha, Conner and Rylan; and beloved friend of 71 years, Martha Hartman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Morris; sister, Rosemary Goldman; and grandson, Casey Morris. Service is 11 a.m. Tuesday at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Road, with calling two hours prior. Rev. Russell Dewell officiating. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne. on September 15, 2008.5

Kenneth Charles Morris Kenneth Charles Morris, 67, of Hickory passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2017. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on August 23, 1949 to the late Robert and Georgetta Morris, Ken was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Arnold and Bernice Morris, his maternal grandparents, George and Reatha McIntire, and his son Casey Shane Morris. Ken enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1968 at the age of 18 and served in the Vietnam War as ground radio operator and forward air control operator. In 1970, Ken received the Air Force Commendation Medal. Ken was a gifted carpenter and took great pride in his work, even as he battled late-stage colon cancer. He owned a carpentry business, Cornerstone Builders, for 14 years, providing business and residential renovations. His business was founded on Isaiah 28:16. So this is what the Sovereign Lord says: "See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation; the one who relies on it will never be stricken with panic." Ken enjoyed serving his family and church family. He served on staff at Discovery Church providing support and leadership for maintenance and security. Ken and his family are grateful for the love and support of their Discovery Church family. Ken is survived by wife Lynne Harris Morris, sisters Kay (Fred) Dittman and Jean (Joe) Sallott, sons Keith (Jenn) Rice and William (Anna) Rice, stepdaugher Jayme (Angelos) Linton, and grandchildren Connor Rice, Samantha McCann, Reanna Rice, Rilei Rice, Annie Linton, and Deacon Linton.2 He married Lynne Harris.2 Kenneth Charles Morris was born on August 23, 1949 at Fort Wayne, Allen Co., Indiana.2 He died on August 9, 2017 at Catawba Co., North Carolina, at age 67.2
