     Beulah Louise Gross was buried at Rooty Branch Cemetery, 551 Rooty Branch Road, Bristol, Sullivan Co., Tennessee.4,3 Her Social Security Number was 414-48-0252.2 She BRISTOL, Tenn. – Beulah Wood went to be with the Lord Friday, May 11, 2007, at her home. She was born Jan. 26, 1931, in Sullivan County, Tenn., a daughter of the late J.C. and Mollie Gross. Beulah was a charter member of Cornerstone Freewill Baptist Church, where she served faithfully for over 45 years. Her service included Sunday school teacher, VBS teacher, choir member, ladies auxillary and church-wide fellowship leader. Beulah was a faithful wife to Jack for over 57 years. Her daughter and grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life. Nothing made her happier than spending time with them and watching them grow into servants of the Lord Jesus Christ. She was loved by everyone, especially her brothers, who remember fondly her sense of humor, her famous chicken and dumplins and homemade rolls and her big-sisterly advice. Beulah will be greatly missed, but her family rejoices in the knowledge that she is now with her Lord and Savior, whom she so richly loved and served, and they look forward to a great family reunion in heaven one day soon. Survivors include hus-band, Buren "Jack" Wood; daughter, Donna Guinn and husband Tim; grandchildren, Nathan Guinn and Hannah Guinn; brothers, James Gross and wife Shirley, Clayton Gross and wife Jennell and Ralph Gross and wife Sue; nieces, Vickie Tranum and husband Mark and daughters, Amanda and Mollie Angela Tranum and daughter Julie Ashkettle; and nephews, Tim Gross and wife Mary and son Trevor and Jimmy Gross and wife Angie and children Ashley and Justin. The burial will follow at the Rooty Branch Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tim Gross, Trevor Gross, Justin Gross, Mark Tranum, Nathan Guinn and Bill Hinkle. Honorary pallbearers will be Buster Rogers, Jim Potter, Elmer Ollis, Gary Webster, Mark Fields and Sidney Arnold. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Brett Odum, Donna Morrell, Karen Leonard, Jana Ringley and the staff of Sapling Grove Family Physicians, to the staff of Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center and to Patsy, Earline, Katrina and Connie of Adventa Hospice Services, who showed such tenderness and compassion to our beloved Beulah and her family.3 She was born on January 26, 1931 at Sullivan Co., Tennessee.4,2,3 As of September, 1949,her married name was Wood.1 She married Buren Allen "Jack" Wood, son of William Washington Wood and Lottie Jane Farmer, on September 9, 1949 at Bristol, Sullivan Co., Tennessee.1,5,4,3 Beulah Louise Gross died on May 11, 2007 at Bristol, Sullivan Co., Tennessee, at age 76.4,2,6,3

     Garves Dean Saffle Garves Dean was born December 5, 1945 in Hutchison Kansas. In his early years he lived in Kansas then moved to Phoenix, AZ where he attended high school. Dean lost his father when he was young but bonded closely with his stepfather whom his kids grew Fond of as well. Dean met Linda at the Centennial Celebration of their church held in San Diego in 1964. They were married on July 2, 1966 In October Dean joined the US Air Force. After boot camp and tech school they were assigned to Luke Air Force Base, then 15 months later Dean went to Vietnam. Following his honorable discharge he began his career in banking in AZ. Dean and Linda added to their family then in 1971 (Brian) and 1973 (Cynthia) in Tucson,AZ, moving them to Mesa in 1975. Dean spent the next 14 years serving his church and working for First Interstate Bank. While working and raising a family he also completed his Bachelor's degree at Arizona State University. From 89-95 Dean lived in LV working with another banking institution. He also was once again involved in serving his church at Central Christian Church and continued to be involved in his family's lives. From 1995 to 2000 he once again found himself relocated for work, this time in CA. Dean and Linda returned to LV in 2000 to work and got involved with their church once again. Also during these years Dean and Linda were able to accomplish things on their bucket list that they had hoped to do for a long time, walk across the Golden Gate Bridge, trips to Hawaii, a New England States tour, Canada trips, and an Alaska cruise. Dean spent his life working and providing as best he could. In the last few years he enjoyed serving others, being a mentor and prayer partner for many, praising God for all his blessings he received, and most of all loving his Savior and family. Dean was preceded in death by his father (Vernon), stepfather (Fred Mock), mother, Viola, sister Charlotte Bene, and brother Leon. Dean is survived by his son Brian (Kendra) Saffle, his daughter, Cynthia (Michael) Courtney, and five grandchildren, Adrian Courtney, Lauren Courtney, Morgantine Courtney, Jeremiah Saffle and Makayle Saffle, also his sister, Anna Mae Jordan.2 He was born on December 5, 1945 at Hutchinson, Reno Co., Kansas.1,2 He married Linda Jeanette Anderson, daughter of Emery Frank Anderson and Gladys Lee Robinson, on June 27, 1966 at Maricopa Co., Arizona.1 Garves Dean Saffle died on January 6, 2020 at Nevada at age 74.
