In later years, Mr. Hampton owned and operated Fremont Packing in Riverton. He married Joan Mary Hanzlick at St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Riverton on June 15, 1952. They had two children --James H. and Joyce M. Mr. Hampton was of the Catholic faith and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He served on the board of directors of the Riverton Senior Citizens'Center. His family said he enjoyed carpentry, fishing, spending time with all of his family, camping with his family, telling life stories to his grandchildren, holding his wife's hand, and watching his family grow. Survivors include his wife, Joan M. Hampton of Riverton; a son, James H. Hampton and wife Billie of Battlement Mesa, CO; a daughter, Joyce M. (Hampton) Fried and husband Gary of Loveland, Colo; five grandchildren, Tamera Kendrick and husband John of Rock Springs, Robert O. Hampton and wife Linette of Riverton, Korey Fried and wife Jennifer of Loveland, Colo., Travis Fried of Riverton, Dakota and Amber Miranda Fried of Loveland, Colo; 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; a brother, William C. Survivors include his son, Kenneth, and daughter, Donna Marie Tintinge, both of Casper; three sisters, Frances Peterson of Moran and Flora Doherty and Carol Kimbrell, both of Phoenix; a brother, Glen of Phoenix; and five grandchildren. He spent his childhood and graduated from high school in Casper, Wyo. He married V. Kay Seldomridge on Nov. 8, 1950, in Casper. She survives. Mr. Vroman had lived in Fort Collins, Casper and several Western states before moving to Mesa County. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Grand Junction. Mr. Vroman also was a member of the Archery Club of Casper, Casper Rodeo Association, Sheriffs Posse of Natrona County, Wyo., and the National Pony Express Assocation. He served with the U.S. Navy as a gunners mate second class during the Korean War, and received four service medals during his tour of duty. Mr. Vroman was a Pony Express rider for the centennial celebration of the state of Wyoming in 1980. He loved family gatherings, fishing, hunting, rodeo, playing the guitar and singing. Other survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Danny Duane and Linda Vroman of Collbran, Scott Wayne and Cori Cay Vroman of Grand Junction,and Michael Douglas Vroman of Mesa; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy Tompkins-Weaver and Melvin Weaver of Grand Junction, and Linda S. and Larry Doolittle of Grand Junction; two brothers, Arthur Rush Vroman Jr. of Casper, and Glen Vroman of Phoenix, Ariz; three sisters, Carol A. Kimbrell of Phoenix, Frances D. Peterson of Casper, and Laura Mae Doherty of Phoenix; a sister-in-law and her husband, Faye and Phillip Ellgen and family of Casper; a cousin, Delores Favert of Casper; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
