Born March 24, 1898, in Monroe County, Mr. Zogg was a son of Ernest and Emma Starr Zogg. Surviving are his wife, Virginia Elmore Zogg; a daughter, Carolyn Wolfe of Woodsfield; a son, Ray Zogg of Bremerton, Wash; two brothers, Ken Zogg of Warwood, W.Va., and Harold Zogg of Salt Lake City, Utah; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Bauer-Turner Funeral Home in Woodsfield, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. D. Gene Kraus officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, Woodsfield. on September 1, 1981.3

Surviving are a brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Jean Zogg, of Bremerton, Washington; a cousin and close friend, Betty Paulus, of Woodsfield and also several other cousins; three nieces; one nephew; seven great-nieces and nephews; one great-great-nephew. There was no visitation. A memorial Service will be held Nov. 4, at 1 p.m. at the St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Woodsfield, with Rev. Donald Rock officiating. Interment in the Oaklawn Cemetery, Woodsfield. on October 30, 1997.2

Raymond J. Zogg LCDR (Ret) Raymond J. Zogg went to be with our Heavenly Father on April 14, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Jean, the love of his life for 48 years. He will also be missed by his four children, Bill, Nancy, Theresa, Connie and by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ray served in the U.S. Navy for 27 years. He was a veteran of World War II, Korea, Vietnam and was the commanding officer of the USS Tatnuck. Ray was a member of the American Legion, VFW, DAV, MOAA and the Elks Lodge 1181.2 He was buried at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park, Bremerton, Kitsap Co., Washington.1 He was born on April 18, 1928 at West Virginia.4,1 He married Anetta Jean Thorn on May 3, 1966 at San Francisco, San Francisco Co., California.7 Raymond J. She was predeceased by her husband, George F. Fox III, and her daughter, Virginia (Holly) Fox. Born in the Ancon Canal Zone, Panama, on July 9, 1917, Virginia was the only child of the late Lt. Gen. Levin H. Campbell and Lucile W. Campbell. A 1939 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Gini also studied at La Sorbonne in Paris. She was traveling in Germany at the outbreak of World War II and returned to the U.S. on one of the last ships leaving Europe. In 1941, she drove a DeSoto with the new "fluid drive" transmission on a promotional tour, showing it was possible to drive across the United States without shifting gears. Having lived in New York, California and Hong Kong before settling in New Jersey, she resided in Summit, N.J., for the past 50 years. Gini was an active member of the Calvary Episcopal Church choir for many years, the Fortnightly Club, the Junior League, Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, the D.A.R. and The Colonial Dames. As an avocation, she enjoyed her many years of association with Mary Kay Cosmetics. An avid traveler, she visited countries all over the world, sailing on many ships, but her favorites remained the QE II and the Stella Solaris. As a keen conversationalist, she knew at least a few words in numerous languages but excelled in fluent French. She instilled in her family a love of travel and an appreciation of other cultures. She leaves behind two sons and their wives, Lee and Deborah Fox of Spotsylvania, Va., and John and Linda Fox of Madison, Conn. She had five grandchildren, David Fox, Jennifer Sharman, Heather Yarbrough, Eric Fox and Alyssa Fox, and six great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Calvary Episcopal Church in Summit, N.J., on Friday, April 1, at 3:30 p.m. A private service will later be held at West Laurel Hills Cemetery in Bala Cynwyd, Pa. on March 30, 2011.3
