Zogg, 83, of Woodsfleld, died early Monday afternoon at Barnesville Hospital. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Woodsflield. Born March 24, 1898, in Monroe County, Mr. Zogg was a son of Ernest and Emma Starr Zogg. Surviving are his wife, Virginia Elmore Zogg; a daughter, Carolyn Wolfe of Woodsfield; a son, Ray Zogg of Bremerton, Wash; two brothers, Ken Zogg of Warwood, W.Va., and Harold Zogg of Salt Lake City, Utah; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Bauer-Turner Funeral Home in Woodsfield, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. D. Gene Kraus officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, Woodsfield. on September 1, 1981.³

She was born Sept 8, 1926, in Lucasville, a daughter of the late Raymond Zogg and Virginia Elmore Zogg. She was a retired school teacher and administrator in the Los Angeles County School system, Los Angeles, Calif; a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Woodsfield, Woodsfield Garden Club, Monroe County Historical Society and the Ohio Historical Society, a graduate of University of West Virginia, and post graduate of the University of Michigan. Surviving are a brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Jean Zogg, of Bremerton, Washington; a cousin and close friend, Betty Paulus, of Woodsfield and also several other cousins; three nieces; one nephew; seven great-nieces and nephews; one great-great-nephew. There was no visitation. A memorial Service will be held Nov. 4, at 1 p.m. at the St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Woodsfield, with Rev. Donald Rock officiating. Interment in the Oaklawn Cemetery, Woodsfield. on October 30, 1997.²

     Raymond J. Zogg LCDR (Ret) Raymond J. Zogg went to be with our Heavenly Father on April 14, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Jean, the love of his life for 48 years. He will also be missed by his four children, Bill, Nancy, Theresa, Connie and by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ray served in the U.S. Navy for 27 years. He was a veteran of World War II, Korea, Vietnam and was the commanding officer of the USS Tatnuck. Ray was a member of the American Legion, VFW, DAV, MOAA and the Elks Lodge 1181.² He was buried at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park, Bremerton, Kitsap Co., Washington.¹ He was born on April 18, 1928 at West Virginia.^4,1 He married Anetta Jean Thorn on May 3, 1966 at San Francisco, San Francisco Co., California.⁷ Raymond J. Levin H. Campbell, USA (ret.), 89, of 179 Duke of Glouchester St, died Wednesday. Gen. Campbell was a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy in 1909 and later transferred to the Army. He was Chief of Ordnance during World War II, and retired to become executive vice president with the International Harvester Co. in Chicago After returning to Annapolis. Gen. Campbell was chairman of the Automotive Safety Foundation in Washington, D.C., and was director of several large corporations. He was decorated with the Navy and Army Distinguished Service Medals with Oak Leaf Clusters. Surviving are his wife, Lucille Woods Campbell; his daughter, Mrs. George F. Fox of Summit, N.J., and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Andrew's Chapel at the Naval Academy. Burial will be in the Navy Cemetery. on November 18, 1976.³

     Andrew Roberdeau Holderby III was buried at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia.^5,4 He 1st LT Holderby died, along with his youngest daughter, 4-year old Clotilde, and a family friend, Miss Eleanor Griffin of Wash., DC, as a result of fire in the Holderby's on-base dwelling at Quantico, Va. Marine Corps Base. Mrs Clotilde Holderby escaped, as did their 7-year old daughter, Meredith. Another family friend, Miss Carolyn Griffin (sister to Eleanor) was badly injured.² He married Clotilde Ella Woods, daughter of Major Hugh Meredith Woods and Georgetta Susan "Etta" Kelley.^1,6 Andrew Roberdeau Holderby III was born on June 28, 1895 at Richmond, Virginia.^2,3,4 He died on February 5, 1927 at Quantico, Prince William Co., Virginia, at age 31.^5,2,3,4

     Virginia H. Campbell was buried at West Laurel Hill Cemetery, 215 Belmont Avenue, Bala Cynwyd, Montgomery Co., Pennsylvania.^3,4 Her married name was Fox.³ She married George Francis Fox III.^3,5,6 Virginia H. Campbell was born on July 9, 1917 at Ancon, Panama Canal Zone.³ She died on March 27, 2011 at Spotsylvania, Spotsylvania Co., Virginia, at age 93.³ She Virginia Campbell Fox, 93, died March 27, 2011, in Spotsylvania, Va., after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her husband, George F. Fox III, and her daughter, Virginia (Holly) Fox. Born in the Ancon Canal Zone, Panama, on July 9, 1917, Virginia was the only child of the late Lt. Gen. Levin H. Campbell and Lucile W. Campbell. A 1939 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Gini also studied at La Sorbonne in Paris. She was traveling in Germany at the outbreak of World War II and returned to the U.S. on one of the last ships leaving Europe. In 1941, she drove a DeSoto with the new "fluid drive" transmission on a promotional tour, showing it was possible to drive across the United States without shifting gears. Having lived in New York, California and Hong Kong before settling in New Jersey, she resided in Summit, N.J., for the past 50 years. Gini was an active member of the Calvary Episcopal Church choir for many years, the Fortnightly Club, the Junior League, Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, the D.A.R. and The Colonial Dames. As an avocation, she enjoyed her many years of association with Mary Kay Cosmetics. An avid traveler, she visited countries all over the world, sailing on many ships, but her favorites remained the QE II and the Stella Solaris. As a keen conversationalist, she knew at least a few words in numerous languages but excelled in fluent French. She instilled in her family a love of travel and an appreciation of other cultures. She leaves behind two sons and their wives, Lee and Deborah Fox of Spotsylvania, Va., and John and Linda Fox of Madison, Conn. She had five grandchildren, David Fox, Jennifer Sharman, Heather Yarbrough, Eric Fox and Alyssa Fox, and six great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Calvary Episcopal Church in Summit, N.J., on Friday, April 1, at 3:30 p.m. A private service will later be held at West Laurel Hills Cemetery in Bala Cynwyd, Pa. on March 30, 2011.³

Survivors include two daughters, Meredith 'Bobbie' Harrell Tayler of Rougemont, N.C. and Caroline Wingfield Harrell and husband, Edwin T. Cramer, of Marshall; one son, Richard O. Harrell III and wife, Frances, of South Boston; seven grandchildren, Meredith Davenport of New York, N.Y., Molly Davenport of Lafayette, La., Marcus Taylor of Roxboro, N.C., Richard O. Harrell IV, Winston Harrell, David Harrell and Parker Harrell, all of South Boston. Funeral services for Mrs. Harrell will be held tomorrow, June 5, at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. Russell Lee conducting the service. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home this evening, from 3 until 5, and from 7 until 9.
