The family would like to thank the staff of Meadowbrook Acres Nursing Home and Hospice Care for the compassionate care of their loved one. Service will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 11, at Hafer Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Lee Swor officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston. on March 10, 2013.2

She was born October 27, 1929 in Bridgeport, WV the daughter of the late Thomas Clay and Melissa Margaret Stonestreet Elmore. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and watching Western Movies. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, General “Jim” Jackson Posey; two sons, Dallas “Bub” Posey, and Daniel Posey; son-in-law, Dan Haggerty; two sisters, Nancy Lamp, and Opal Haught; and a brother, Dallas Elmore. Survivors include a daughter, Malissa “Dee” Haggerty of Moundsville; twin sons, Larry (Joyce) Posey of Florida and Gary (Wendy) Posey, St. Clairsville, OH and son, David Posey, of Moundsville; twenty-five grandchildren; fifty-three great-grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4-7pm at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11am with Pastor Rodney Hubbs officiating.
